With the weather cooling your committee would like to have our first ever
NAVMISSA Poker Run.

What is it?

This is a 2 hour touring event that will be set through the hill country
near New Braunfels, around Canyon Lake and ending at a local BBQ joint where
we will declare the winner. 4 locations will be marked where the caravan of
participants will stop and draw a card from a deck. That card will go
towards your 5 card poker hand. Your last card is drawn at the restaurant
where the winner (best hand) will receive a trophy. In case of a tie we
will do pistols at 20 paces or another hand of poker, whichever seems more
prudent at the time.

When: November 19th with everyone meeting at the starting point at 11:00.
That gives us plenty of time to tour and then end for lunch.

Who is invited: ANYONE and EVERYONE. There will be a $5 fee per person who
plays a hand. No fee required to show up and have fun on a nice ride.

To help me gauge how big of a reservation for lunch I need to make please
respond with the number of members you anticipate attending.

With the car and motorcycle nuts around here we will actually have some
cools cars I am sure people will give rides in. I expect to see a Dodge
Viper, Mustang Cobra, Maserati, a few Mini Coopers, Mercedes, VW bugs,
Choppers and Harleys. Heck, I might even see a vintage Honda (Dr. Marks).

Yeah... cause when I think "sports car", I think of Lexus with an automatic transmission.

 

When I think of sports car, it damn sure isn't an awd beetle.

 

But you're only basing the "beetle" comment on your personal views of the exterior design. I'm talking about actual driving fun and performance. The IS-F will be cursed by the feel of lexus, as well as being stuck with a normal automatic transmission. Honestly, the transmission is enough to ruin that car for me. I'd choose a car with worse performance with a manual transmission before I'd get the IS-F or 350. I've never been quite sure why they don't offer a manual transmission as an option, aside from their target demographic not caring.

Autotragic is what killed the GTR, boom case closed.

 

Even if you had the money for an LFA you couldn't get one anywhere near sticker. Tito (local guy with 20B turbo RX-8) said he paid 90ish for his used GTR after looking all over the place and the GTR has been out a while now.

 

Yes I'd rather buy a 300zx TT, 240sx track car, put a deposit on a house and finish my RX8.
