Washed the car, installed waterpump and tstat. Waiting for the RTV to dry then I'm going to flush the coolant since I never did that after my rebuild and check for leaks.

Then who knows I might get ambitious and try to install my afr gauge.

I think you fell into my parallel universe, since I was in Austin in 73 with my RX3, and I poured BLOCK SEAL like some kind of solvent and glue in a can that would seal a water leak.

You really put in a used thermostat?

I don't even trust a new one!

It's like a wear item.

My cat is going out... Got a CEL code P0420 Catalytic Efficiency Below Threshhold... Intrested in the HKS Legamax Exhaust System with BHR midpipe and catalyst. Will it pass emissions here in TX?

Will I get in trouble if I just use a midpipe and no catalyst? I'm really at a loss

I believe the midpipe and cat should pass a 'Sniffer' test. That is if where you live the perform the sniffer and pull cels from the computer. He in the SA area they do not do either of those tests.. the midpipe with no cat would not pass a sniffer test...

Before anyone could afford a microwave, I'd just use stove top with candy thermometer, and watch temp that it would open at, but you seem to have creative ideas.

Whatever works, I just remember heating food on a plate that had metal decoration, and seeing sparks.

So underwater is the key, huh?

Yeppers, I didn't want to use a pot because I'm a little OCD about what I cook my food in. so I used a coffee mug instead.
