Thank to all my fellow SARX members who fought or work toward this huge step forward our country made toward the war on terror. It was good to wake up to this in Afghanistan this morning.

Thanks J and Kris!

Okay guys, I have a **** ton of mod weekends coming up and I would like to try and get a drive in before I dive head first into Hoss-05's car and mine. It doesn't have to be a 3 sisters run but maybe something different like a run to that famous wing place in San Marcos so the Austin guys can meet up?

I'm in, though I wouldn't mind hitting up some twisties as well...

I'm hold off on installing anything until I have all my turbo components just going to bang it all out over a 3 day period.

My buddy from socal who helped me with the rebuild is going to fly out as well to help me out.

I just had some dude in a 328i try to follow me. We started on UTSA heading towards I-10. Once it opened up to 2 lanes, he passed the 2 cars ahead of him and got over and then I passed him (in 6th gear... so nothing ridiculous) and got over before I needed to make the right onto 10. Once there's a clearing in traffic, I make my right and merge over to get on 10. I always wait for the spaced white lines before I get over, just because that's kind of the legal way. So I start to merge once I get to that part but he had jumped over the solid white line and started accelerating so I couldn't get over until he passed. Once he passed, I got over and then got a lone further to pass him as well as a few other cars. There's only about a mile drive on the highway before my exit, so I made sure to pass with sufficient time to get over... so decent acceleration, but I was still only accelerating in 5th and 6th. When I take my exit, he's right on my ***. I made my way over to the right lane to make my turn on huebner, but he kind of paced in the next lane over, but hit is brakes and switched lanes as soon as he saw I was making the turn.

Got caught at the first light and I got a call from my dad, so I took it since we were at the light. He was in the lane next to me but I don't think I really looked over or anything since I was on the phone... basically just aware he was there and nothing more. Huebner always has traffic so it was pretty much just sticking with the flow. Finally get to babcock to make my turn and he's right behind me again and makes a fairly aggressive lane change as soon as I put my signal on. I wouldn't call it extreme, but well beyond necessary. At that point, it started to become clear that he might be following me because it didn't seem like he expected the turns. When we made the turn, I kind of made a point to accelerate fairly hard in the first couple gears, just to see... sure enough he was trying to keep up. I was in the far left lane at that point and knew I needed to make a right. When I changed lanes, he squeezed his way in, pretty close on my ***. I turned in one of the side roads I know just to see what he would do. Sure enough, he followed. I'm usually not the paranoid type, so I made damn sure. I made a small loop on those back roads a couple more times and sure enough, he kept with me. When we got to the intersection of babcock again, I made it a point to go when there was traffic coming. As planned, he couldn't make the turn. I initially was in the left lane, but didn't know if I'd be able to catch any of the upcoming turns with enough of a lead to lose sight, so I managed my way back to the right lane for a right turn. He had changed into the left lane but changed back immediately after I changed to the right, still 4-5 cars behind me. Basically the traffic worked out in my favor and slowed him from being able to see the turn I ended up taking to lose him. When I circled back, I saw him passing (where he probably wouldn't see me) to go back the way we came.

Not really sure why he was following me... I can only assume he was pissed about me passing (maybe?) or maybe he wanted to race or something. I can't really think of anything beyond that. His driving was way too aggressive and from the few loops I made, it was clear he wasn't in a hurry to quit following. Whatever the reason, I didn't really want to deal with it, so I'm glad I just kept driving till I lost him. I just find it weird that something like that happened... I've heard stories of stuff like that, but wasn't really expecting it.

Oh yeah... editing because I forgot the actual purpose of the post lol... Grunge mentioned doing my brakes this saturday. Is that still a good time? I'm done with school crap at the end of this week, so any time works. I'd definitely like to get them done before I head to Houston, but that's towards the end of the month.

You should have swung by the office, if he acted up I could have introduced him to Mr. .380. If that happens never drive to your house unless you have backup.

I am down for Saturday, I need to do brakes as well.

Yeah, I made a point not to drive by my place. Didn't want to leave a chance for him to check later if he felt like it, for some reason. I'm really just trying to figure out what made it worth it for him to waste that much time. If it was to try and race or something like that, I figured he would have stopped after the first time I repeated the loop. If it was road rage... still figured he would stop, but that's something not worth dealing with. Never know what those people will do. I know I passed him twice, but I never cut him off or anything. His lane changes and turns were much more aggressive/dangerous than my passing, so not really sure what his problem was.

Some people are dicks, you never know. Years back I had a guy throw a coke bottle at my car on 35 as a I passed in the fast lane. It got bad. One of those things I did at 21 that I would not do now Some dangerous driving ensued and then I got him to exit at a rest stop. Well, turns out there were three guys in the car, not one I managed to escape thanks to me having a turbo and them driving a Camry
