Hey it snowed at our house for about 10 minutes awhile ago....

Took the day off from work. Got bored so I de-riced the RC car I just got off ebay...

holy **** my car loves this cold weather

 

Yeah I dusted some fool in an older Boxster on 35 on the way back from picking up my son. We both hit the highway at the same time and he came up fast and tried to go around to get in front of me and over to the fast lane where I was headed. Wasn't happening. I think he was not expecting to be be pulled on like that by a Mazda. I know the cold helps a tiny bit but my car just felt great and pulled hard. In all fairness is was a non 'S" model and one of the first gen models. The rest of the trip home was spent talking to my son about how he better not speed, haha.

Woot!! I'm going to the Cowboys vs. Chargers game on Sunday. Boys' better not screw up my perfect record.

 

Met a cool guy this morning with a BB 8 with a MSP Wing. In talking it appears he works at Golden Corral and 8maniac (unless there was another BB with RB Exhaust) left him a 8club decal. I got his info and I will advise him of our shenanigans.

Got those new HD cameras though...bought two of them, so I should be able to get some really cool video from really crazy view points. Looking forward to that.

 

Kevo, I hope to have the rest of my "reliability mods" done and my shocks and rear rotors/pads will def be on by the end of the holidays (too damn cold to do now) so I hope to hit the ground running after the new year so hopefully we can head up there together so I can learn from the master.

I can't wait to finish the L1 class and get out there. It has been bugging the crap out of me since the last time we went. I am looking as Sway bars as we speak.

I am also plan on getting into my coolant system too but I have never had overheating issues so I want to get out on the track to see if it is even necessary.

 

Cool...when you find the master let me know cuz I am looking for him as well!

The L1 class itself is a load of fun...with alot of seat time. It would be fun on the track together in a practice session.

I would think the coolant system would do well especially in the fall/winter months...there were two RX8s at the last HHR event and they didn't seem to have any problems. Of course I did see them checking their oil with regularity, and I know you are good about that detail. The spring/summer months may be a different story though...but like you said...you'll just have to get it out there and see.

I am more worried right now about the fuel pump issues many of the track guys are having because my pump has over 100k on it.

 

LOL...yeah...I love bump drafting and nudging people into and through a turn...and of course the occassional side swipe maneuver.
