What's up everyone. I have to get some new rotors and brake pads. I'm thinking about doing it myself any suggestions on which brand to get? I saw some videos on replacing them, it seems very easy anyone have any experience on doing it.

Go to rockauto.com...I bought a full set of Power Stop rotors (drilled and slotted) and brake pads for less than $350, and they look/feel great.

I had some difficulty with mine, simply because they were on so long...I changed them at around 161k miles.

9krpmrx8, I don't mind at all taking directions from a woman. As long as someone is willing to teach me I can learn from anyone. (plus a woman usually holds your attention longer)

Good, because other than Teamrx8, I'm pretty much your only hope now in this area...lol...I will be honest though...You're much better off with Team on this...He will thoroughly clean and repair as he goes...We spent a good 6 hours on mine just fixing every problem that came up.

Alas, the end is nigh.

Had a compression test today. 7.1's all the way. Town North says it's dying.

All engines/cars are dying the minute you start them up...

If you don't premix you should start. You can add 6 or so months to your engines lifespan by doing so.

No worries, as a side note my engine pulled an average of 7.3 before I went on my cross country drive and installed my turbo. Granted its dying now but that was 7 months ago .

You will be lucky to get a year out of that with premixing and proper maintenance.

I'm thinking Group buy on new motors. Mine still good (for now). I got the title in hand at this point and I think I'm probably going to go kinda crazy when the warranty is up in 7K miles.
