So here's what I've come up for a video for this years meet:
I made it to show the area more than the curves, I hoping to do a bit more of the curvier videos later.

Also, I wanted to clean up my personal youtube channel a bit for various reasons. So I've started to try and seperate out the videos I do. In that vien I've created a new channel/account called NTXRotary. If you want to post videos etc to it under that, I will get you the details. If you still want to post your videos under your name, thats cool too, I will try to get them favored by NTXRotary so that all our cool vids are under a clean channel. That way we can keep our dirty vids seperate from our clean ones (aka Joe et al stealing gulf carts and thomas's various dance videos...)
I tried to create a TheTexas8 Account, but apparently its already taken for some reason...

Just got back from Rotary Performance, had to get new coils and spark plugs. The owner told me to use 10W 30 oil instead of the recommended 5W 30 he says it protects the bearings better and give them a longer life, does anyone use 10W 30?

10W-30 protects just as well when the engine Is fully warmed up. The 10W-30 is gonna be more viscous when the engine is cold and help protect it better, but living in Texas you dont need to worry about the cold. 5W-30 & 10W-30 are both the same viscosity when fully warm. Because the summer weight is the same it protects just the same.

Anyone want to go see Fast Five on opening night? Like we could get a meet going to go see it. I think this would be awesome, nothing is better than making fun of FF movies...
A few of us did this for the last Fast & Furious movie so I thought we might like to continue the tradition, plus what would look more badass than to see like 5 RX-8s parked in the lot while we walk out... lol

To be fair, not all 8's respond the same. Some have never put anything higher than 89 in their 8, others only premium. I know for mine, in colder weather I can go with lower octane, but as soon as the weather warms up, I have to switch back to premium or I notice a big performance difference. ymmv

Yeah, I got way better gas mileage with lower octane so after the first few weeks with my 8 I switched to 87. Every once in a while I'd fill up with premium just to make sure I was not crazy and my 8 was not running "crappy" in comparison but no...it was the exact same with 87 as with premium except way better mileage. 70K miles total, 50K on 87 octane, no knocking, no misfiring, no issues.
Diamond in the ruff 8 is what I had I suppose. Every one is different straight off the lot.
