I completely understand. That is why i just automatically blurred the license plate numbers. Also, if anyone posts pictures of their aftermarket modifications w/ license plate present, mazda could always use that to automatically void your warranty. Btw Rob, it sucks because LEGEND is already taken >.< I'm going with L3Gend or LEG3ND.. >.<

yes rotaries heat up easily and there are some mods that can help level it out. Search on aftermarket performance threads and there will be listed a few modifications people do to have a cooler running 8. You can check on www.mazdasport.net for their cool running modifications.

ive wrapped an insulator tube with aluminum tape and zip ties to keep my condenser colder. This results in colder ac. Also removing the engine cover and battery covers also cool up the 8 just a bit since they keep some of the heat trapped in the bay. I heard the mazsport cooling fan mod works excellent

For those of you that still care, The anime convention is here:

Address :
CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL (Formerly Sofitel Hotel)
425 North Sam Houston Pkwy East
Houston, TX. 77060, USA.

Tel : (+1)281-445-9000
Fax : (+1)281-445-0629
URL: www.crowneplaza.com/greenspoint

More info at www.atsuicon.com

The cosplay contest starts at 7:00, immediately followed by the Ero Genki (18+) cosplay contest. The excitement will probably last until 11:00/midnight.

If you want to meet up, I'll make it a point to be chilling on one of the couches right by the main entrance to the hotel between 5:30~6:30. For those of you that don't know what I look like, I'll be wearing a Half-Life 2 hat, an overshirt with flaming skulls on it, and and undershirt that says "GAMING IS AS ADDICTIVE AS SEX (there's just no orgasm to let you know when to stop)"

IF you still have energy left in you, and want to go for a drive, I'm going to pick up my ex in college station around midnight. I know a pretty crazy backroad up there if you're interested in going for a random mini-roadtrip/club drive.

We can discuss further details at the con.

Unfortunately, I wont be making it to the anime convention guys but I hope you all have a good time.

As for cooling mods, I have the mazsports cooling fan mod. There has been logged data by other members proving that it helps. I dont have any data on paper myself but I would rather have it than not. Its a quick install too so dont worry too much about that. Other than that for cooling I would say run 5w30 instead of 5w20. Im doing that as well. Also, theres a water pump upgrade by one of the forum vendors for sale right now. That would help moreso with engines being run in the higher rpm range though I think. Im planning on getting that in the future as well. Theres also water wetter and purple ice that you can add to the coolant, but Im not sure if it actually helps. Hope that helped. If theres any other mod that anyone knows chime in.

Yeah, so - apparently the hotel thought the event was going to be much smaller, and they're getting pissed off about the huge turnout.

they're overcharging the con staff for everything, and they're threatening to shut the con down in a few hours. Don't bother coming out...
...this con got the shaft, and is about $12,000 in debt...

OK SO!!!

Great News!!

The con was saved, everythign went off without a hitch afterwards. The cosplay skits were amazing, the concert rocked, and hentai fest is about to start

The last day of the con has discount prices, so come on out tomorrow if you can. The dealers usually have massive discounts the last day, and the badges are cheap as chips. There are a few panels going on, a lot of voice actors have just been hanging around, chatting it up with fans, signing autographs, all that good stuff....

If you haven't come out yet, swing by and check it out...

...even if it is for some cheap thrills (read: looking at hot cosplayers *****)

Looks great but if anyone wants to use it in their signaure they just need to resize it to meet forum standards. (see below)

"Custom signatures are enabled, but any graphics used in such signatures are limited to a 20K file size with dimensions no larger than 500 pixels x 200 pixels."

Sorry to be a party pooper.
