The NHRA Sport Compact Nationals are coming back to Texas again this year, however are doing it in a completely different way. The event will only feature PRO RWD and PRO FWD classes and the event will also be combined with the O’Reilly NHRA Fall Nationals PRO event.

Currently the only Mazda in the points chase at this time is Ed Bergenholtz, who is in third place.
