Anyone think you can't tow a trailer with an RX-8 ain't never seen Monique's red car pull a trailer at some pretty high speeds. I had a hard time following in my 914 once in awhile.

So you still got those Kumhos? Come on out again we are back at Bell Chase.

Maybe even a RX-8 gathering and friendly little Autocross. How many are interested in that?

Joe- I just sold those Kumho's on a set of OEM rims like 2 weeks ago
to a member on here. I may come out to play in May (?). I planned on the March
event but I had so much going on. I did see your thread about it, I heard about it too. Haha.

 

Yea he is still pretty fast in whatever he drives FTD by 2 seconds. I got strick orders from My wife to NOT let him drive the RX-8.

 

Yeah- He's taken FTD in my 8 @ Belle Chasse! Smart woman. Naah, he won't hurt it.

Yesterday, as I was driving to go eat at Chili's, I saw a dropped Copper Red Shinka at the Lapalco and Manhattan intersection. So I'm catching up and when I turn onto Manhattan I honk and look. Two girls, that look to be in there mid 20's, wave and smile. I couldn't roll my windows down due to my windows being tinted 4 days ago. So, the light turns green and they go before I could say anything.

They car had a nice drop. The front gap was reduced to maybe a 1 to 1 1/2 finger gap.

Is it anybody on the forum? Or anybody know them?

 

Down boy, that's Faris, she's 17 and still in high school! lmao. Her car is an auto and isn't dropped btw. But it is pretty! I've been trying to get her to buy my old wheels bc she really likes them and curbed two of hers on the Huey P!

Haha! Yeah- Daddy. I know her thru some car buddies, we always pick on her. I lecture her bc she's knows nothing about the car; not even how to check her oil, etc. But she's cool. I hope her daddy buys my wheels for her! I commented her myspace when I decided to sell them & get new ones bc she really liked the BZ's. But she commented back saying she couldn't. ~shrug~ I'll tell her you said hello. Heehe. I also invited her to the Lakefront meet.

 

Lol, go figure. I kinda thought she didn't know anything about cars.. Not to be mean, but when I looked at them, they fit the "father buys daughter a car" criteria.

On a diff note, I stopped at Ducote on yesterday afternoon to show them my new wheels. Keith said my pics do them no justice btw. I actually ended up with a crowd around my 8 there "GO ME... GO ME!!!" ~doin' the cabbage patch! bwaahaha~ lol. Gene (their body shop mgr) and his crew tried talking me into letting them paint "Ghost Flames" on the car, wtf?

ps... I noticed cracks in my paint last night when I washed my car. The new, fresh paint on my front bumper. This is in addition to trash and runs in the paint btw. It's been a nightmare! DO NOT USE CONTEMPORARY AUTOMOTIVE!!!

but on the real.....thats pretty cool. I used to date a girl like her lol, daddy baught her a z06 for her 16th bday.....

So, anyway... I met a guy in an 04 VR today in Elmwood. His name is Sam and he has Missouri plates. We were conversing when I had to pull off bc I was blocking traffic, yeah... me. lol. But apparently he's already a member here. I told him to join us in the Gulf forums. The first thing he said was "I like your rims" ~all smiles~

Well I saw a base model at Walgreens near David Drive, and I saw two girls in a silver 8 by E J high school. I sreamed by them at 9k and when they caught up, I snapped a pic! lol

Were the repairs covered under warranty? To quote Ed @ Ducote "If your car is flooded, you'll have to pay for it" wtf?
