in other news, I was having some trouble with my transmission the other day.. (the only reasons I use rx8club is for technical advice) it was about 80 degrees outside in the middle of the day and I was driving for a 40 mile distance or so. (slidell to hammond) on the way back from hammond, my transmission started to grind. 1st to 2nd would grind.. 3rd to 4th would grind.. and 5th was even starting to grind.

i freaked out basically.. i figured my transmission was gone, figured it just blew the **** up. i thought, though, since the heat seemed to have some kind of affect maybe it could be some fluid issues. i bought some Royal Purple and changed out my transmission fluid and.. what do you know?

no more ******* transmission grinding. in fact, it shifts better than it ever did. in other words, i can downshift into 2nd 35-40 mph.. whereas before that would grind. also, it's actually noticeable around the shifter and cupholders that the transmission runs cooler. amazing

and by the way, i brought up ethanol the other day because ethanol is an alcohol. alcohol and oil don't mix! (poor combustion chamber)

i personally believe putting the 10% ethanol **** in my 8 was responsible for ruining my original engine in the car. i only put Exxon gas because that's the only 100% gasoline left.

anyone else have any thoughts on the 10% ethanol in the rx8? i think it's death

 

thats all they use up north. i never had a problem nor did the 100's of other 8and 7 owners

 

I avoid ethanol, so I can't help. I might go to RP if your result was that good because 3rd to 2nd is nasty right now over 40.

The Host removed the site because of the bandwidth it was hogging, didn't even talk to me just straight up shut it down, I'm ******* pissed. He won't even give me a back-up of the damn data. Nothing no files / mysql db backups. We're gonna have to start from scratch.

I got an e-mail last night saying "Your ***** gone" The fucked up thing was that I was paying for the used bandwidth. And he did it anyways. So we're back to this again. If anyone has a host I can set it up again, but it won't be till after my finals as I'm going to be studying quite a bit.

Anyways, thats all. ******* ********.
