Sweet...heh good timing...my buddy just got back his STi (blown engine) and I just got on my latest set of upgrades...we were planning on doing a hill country run to break things in before we hit the track.

It's also about time we get a Chili's thing goin at least...

im all about a hills drive. Im still not sure about tire choices through. I obviously have my non summers on but im unsure about putting them on as soon as i get down there. The tires i run get pretty brittle under 50 degrees and it still might be a little early. Either way im down for roasting some stockers if i have to.

I might go...just finished getting the new suspension in (Thanks Thura!) and will be up in the area getting an alignment due to all the suspension, tire, wheel changes...

If you can coax Avenger to go, he has the RB intake. Removing the baffles+screen+panel filter on the stocker was good enough for me. But then again I intend on going FI later so I kinda didn't want to waste the money.

If you want a little more bang for just a wee more buck...get the coil upgrade from Mazsport. Moves the power lines up similar to the what the intake does, but provides higher gains along the way. Works nice for NA trim, but its primarily intended to solve the spark blow out issue in FI applications. Just has a nice little side effect of giving a clean burn in NA situations thus producing more consistent power.

i just realized, i dropped my 8 off this morning (i posted a few days ago about cel on at start-up and highway speeds, and a power steering loss -- both are being checked out today). maybe i'll hit up the next one then.

colin - you mention today as the "monthly meeting", but there are 2 other ones this month -- anything special going on tonight?

tonight is the club membership (non members are always welcome, this is just the one time a month where we meet to discuss bidness, catch up on things, collect dues, introduce new people to the club, whatever) meeting, it's more of an actual meeting where the other meets are more drives than an actual meeting if that makes any sense. We have 2 drives and a monthly meeting each month (weather permitting anyway lol)

damn, that's pretty good then! maybe next month i'll be in (seriously, even spending a meager 30 bucks is a little frustrating right now!).

so for the most part, do you guys normally bring dates/girlfriends/wives? i'm not saying there are no women IN the club themselves, but i could see this being a "guy's" thing -- i don't want to mess that up, but if it were up to me my girl would come (at least on the extended day drives).

okay, grab a seat, here's the story on the mess, sorry for the lounge post and hijack. :P

I broke up with tis girl on the 18th of last month, 3 days after my Xmas drive which she royally f***'ed up for me. She spent that whole day with me, using me and the drive to go shopping in Fredricksburg and to kill time until the next day, where she went out on a date with another guy and didn't even speak to me until like 11pm that night. She claims homedude and her were just friends, but she posted pics of them together on Myspace where she's all cheek to cheek with him, posing for him etc etc., you know, **** that couples do basically, not just "firends" This dude constantly bugged the **** out of her all day that Saturday we were together anyway, finally she was all upset that Monday and I was trying to talk to her and cosole her over the phone (she lost her brother a few years ago) and next thing I know, she's telling me this guy is coming over (after 11 on a weeknight?) to "pick up a sweater he left over there last night". I was like wtf?!?, can't he do this some other time? i got back, "well he asked and I said it would be okay, i'm just going to bed and I'm going to leave the front door unlocked" etc. homechick lives in a gated apartment complex, so it's not as simple as that, for that guy to visit etc. he's gotta' have a gatekey and so on and I just figured it all out, cut if off cold and haven't spoken to her since.
So now she calls me at least 1-2 times a day (was worse at first) and texts me saying "I love you" and sends me pictures and ****, leaves me pathetic voicemails. So then last night she just happened to be meeting a friend from college, at the exact same time and place we have our once a month meeting...hmmmm...go figure right? She kept laughing out loud on purpose, I guess trying to get me to hear her or something? Then we went outside and looking at each other's rides etc., and not but 2 minutes later she's outside at her car trying to be all whatever with the victi...er...guy she met there or whatever.
I have to say, it had to be the most pathetic thing I think I've ever witnessed behavior wise as an adult..like...ever. I almost skipped out on last night because of her, now I'm really glad I went as it showed me how awful she is. So there you go, that's my huge drawn out dramafest I've been trapped in as of late, and this is why I won't post her pics of the drive on our club page or talk to her or have anything to do with her, she's a cold hearted manipulative lying deceitful person, our club doesn't need that, I surely don't either.

so yeah, you didn't miss much lol

hahahhahaa, that's an awesome story! that's f-ed up though for sure, i'm glad you kicked her to the curb as quickly as you did! i've dated some PSYYYYYCHO girls too, so i know it sucks. hopefully she won't do anything rash, but i'm sure her attention antics will tire her out eventually. i can't believe she showed up at the same place last night!! man, women .... if they're weren't so damn hot i'd write them off all together!!
