having trouble deciding color... help?
I've been coming to this forum for about a good 10 months now. Every single little bit of information has been helpful to make me decide that this is the right car for me. Buying time for me should be very soon and I am having trouble deciding the color. I personally like red but my brother and other friends and family say blue is a better choice. Reason why is because they say that red cars attract more attention which would mean more tickets for me.
For a 16 year old i am careful driver, but I just don't want to make the wrong choice and pay for damn tickets. Don't get me wrong the blue is nice but I personally prefer red. Any help from anyone one last time before I go and get myself one so I can post pics with everyone else on this forum :D . Any opinions and comments would help, but please don't flame me about my age . Thx
btw. I live around the houston northwest 1960 area. I've seen a couple of nice 8s around. Anyone from there roaming this forum?

Don't let anyone influence your color decision. If your heart says red, go red. If your heart says blue (more rare by the way) then go blue. Go and look at them on the lot; you'll know which one you really want then
You have to decide for yourself. If you choose for someone elses reasons, you're bound to be unhappy about your choice later.
Now giddy up and go get your new 8 :D

I agree with poolsidenaz
The things to think about are:
1. If you are following the traffic laws then you don't have to worry about tickets.
2. Brighter colors get more attention (not just from the cops).

yup.. and IMO.. the blue in question here is nearly (if not more) eye catching than the red.
The thing about red cars is a old urban legend anyhow. The real answer lies within a combination of fxdsconv2000's points 1 and 2.

thanks to all of you. Once I get my 8 i'll be sure to post pictures soon. I'm thinking in about a week, but it might be a little longer than that or it might not.

I liked the Blue in pictures more than in person... it does'nt have the sparkle like the Ford "Sonic Blue" does.
I would say go with Red. (Titanium is quite nice too. )

Silver is classic.
Titanium is unique.
Red/Blue/Yellow are primary colors.... my wife says they're cheap looking, but I kinda liked the blue. If only they had a blue/black leather interior...
Black is my least favorite choice not because of the color, but because it tends to hide the curves and lines of the RX-8, while the other colors display it proudly.
I was actually unable to really make up my mind, but the only car on the lot that fit the options I wanted was silver. My wife liked it, so I got it. I've since grown to like the color choice and would not trade it for any other.
Of course this is all subjective, and you should pick what YOU want, not what others want.
I also liked Silver because the wheels match the same color color, so you can get a nice mono tone through the whole car that the others don't seem to get as easily.

Get the titanium!! Thats what I got. the reason
1.) Doesn't show dust, dirt that much. Which means less washes.
2.) You tend to blend in with the road, it doesn't stand out as much.
3.) Titanium with the strakes, front and rear rotary emblem, tinted dark windows, no front license plate, and NO tail, says CLASS.....
4.) The most important thing, My 4 yr old, says, If the Power Rangers drove cars instead of riding bikes, it would be an 8!!
Sorry, I had to throw that one in!
Here is my plate "5N TX AG"
anyone figured it out??
