Favorite Place to drive in Houston

What is your favorite road to drive in Houston and why?

I like the short drive down Allen Parkway between 45 and Shephard. Even though its only 40 -45 mph the turns are nice and the scenery is cool with the trees and park on the right.

I also like the scenic route we did in the spring too.

Westpark toll-way going west, hardly any cops and you can reallly let the rotary engine do what it does best

I only know how to get there from the south but its takes you through the Heights area I think. beautiful homes and nicely wooded.

Thats my block! Watch out though--because cops like to hide out between Rio Vista and Scott and the limit is 30. I had a friend in high school spin his Supra Turbo out a house down from me.

Exit 765 (Patterson, Shepherd, Durham) from I-10 Westbound, 'cause it means my 420 mile drive from Mississippi is over and I get to spend a weekend with my wife.

You can't imagine how beautiful Houston looks after two weeks on the Mississippi Coast post-Katrina.
