I will be in el paso this saturday for my friends bday. That does sound like a good plan. I was thinking about making some stickers. I am not sure what i want on it. but something to rep what we are about.

This what always happens, we get about a day or two of chatter on here and then it conveniently dies again. I'm down with just the three of us meeting up, I may be able to drag one more 8 out.

A last minute meet today, might be hard for some people. Let's shoot for next Saturday Feb 11 at 2pm, that gives rory some time to make it down here. Still looking for a car wash location (suggestions welcomed), a spot to sit down and eat, the cruise route, I think we can come up with on the fly. Keep in mind that traffic in el paso on a saturday is STUPID. Also, if anyone owns a nice camera, bring out so we can get some pics.

also did a drive by on the car wash on montana and its a full service car wash so...yeah its a business not just a drive in car wash.. if that was the plan cool if not maybe another one?

Okay, time crunch, p. rat said that the car wash on montana is a full service one, I was thinking more along the lines of hand washing. I'm not familiar with the west side, but I know of a couple of spots on the east side off of Zaragoza and George Deiter. Let's meet in the parking lot of Cielo Vista Mall in the area closest to the theater.

Just installed the AFE short shifter, NOTICEABLE difference, feels good. I'm about to go do a little aggressive driving to give it a real test.

 

That sounds good DSEA. I just finished making some stickers. they say OVER 9000!!! haha They look good. i have some that are white and some that are shiny silver. If anyone ones some. they are about 13in long and 1.25 wide. good for a bumper. I will bring them next time i am in el paso.

It was cool meeting you. I'm intrested in getting a few cars together and hitting the back mountain roads of Ruidoso or Cloudcroft NM. Does El Paso have anything commensurate to these passes?

 

When do you want to meet up and do all this? I am down whenever, I do not know about el paso has anything like that. Does anyone want to meet up?

 

I'm going to do plugs this weekend on account of startup issues so a mountain jaunt will be out. Hopefully my BHR coils will get here soon.

To answer your question about oil I ran 5W-40 synthetic in the TII when I was in Germany. I have not decided what to run out here on account of the desert climate. I'm willing to bet my 8 has 10W-30 Dino in it right now due to the locals.

I meant to ask you about your exhaust. I know you have a unresonated midpipe but are you running stock mufflers? I'm considering a resonated RB or BHR pipe with Borla mufflers. Any thoughts?
