Dang! I've been waiting for this trip to come around again... but I'm moving that weekend. I'll start on Thursday and finish around Sunday. Oh well... maybe next time.

just catching up with this thread and looks like this group trip has really fallen apart. Nothing like the first trip to Austin. Maybe this should be post-poned until after the holidays??? Just my .02

There will always be trips to Austin, whether it be with 3 members or 15. I'd really like to get some of the newer members to join us, but I know it can be tough with work/family/life stuff.
Bar golf is on! Anyone want to predict the winner?

Awesome!! I think we're going to try to have lunch at Oasis again, but I'm not sure what time. We'll probably hit up the twisties afterwards (hopefully by then our headaches would have worn off) and then I don't know. Another round of Bar Golf that night.

Oasis is cool, I'd still also recommend Iguana Grill, it's a little farther down the road but the food is better, might be seasonal though (?) I'm pretty sure Oasis is year round so we should probably plan on that one just to be safe

Not sure the Oasis is fully back to speed since the fire.

Hey Canary - can you look into the Iguana Grill for me? You say the food is better... is there a view? Does anyone know what the view is like at the Oasis now? Is it worth going?

Iguana Grill is good. It still has a good view, its just doesn't have the elevation that Oasis does. Food is definitely better though.
I wish I could go but I already have plans that weekend. Maybe next time you guys go to Austin or if I ever have a business trip in big D I'll have to drop in a say hello.

here's a link y'all

That site also has other places to check out, if you stumble upon another place and need the local scoop let me know, I've pretty much been everywhere.
