Dallas/Fort Worth

Any recommendations on the best place to take my RX-8 in Dallas, Fort Worth, or the cities in between?...The dealership I've been going to is ok, but I want somebody who knows damn near everything about the 8.

If you're looking for a dealership try Town North Mazda @ 75 and Beltline, if you want someone that knows EVERYTHING about the car go to Rotary Performance (www.rx7.com) in Garland @ 78 and Buckingham.

+1, that's what I was thinking.

I go to Town North whenever it's time for service. They actually try to provide good, quality customer service. And so far, I've had a good experience.

Good luck.

+1 for Jt response and
+1 for Dmedz response as well

Freeman mazda has treated me well and the parts manager there is a sponsor of the club and TheTexas8 state meet coming up in April. He also gives parts discounts to local members. Saved me 100 bucks on new struts when mine blew recently.

Classic used to be awesome before they lost a couple of people. I had been taking my 8 and my wife's CX7 there regularly for over two years and then it went to **** real fast. Sadly they lost the wrong people at the wrong time and replace them with idiots.

I had actually switched from Hiley mazda of hurst which was worse than classic is now. Their sales deptarment is prob the best only to be followed by one of the worst repair depts. They may have improved in the two years since I left, but I doubt it.

I've been going to Hiley Mazda of Arlington...I was ok with them until a few days ago...I left my car to have a recall done, and the guy who brought the car to me almost turned it off cold...I had to hurry and tell him to keep it running...I was so pissed...Usually they'll let it warm up before they even bring it to me, but not this time...One mistake with that car is enough to lose my trust...So I need to find another place...Thanks for the tips everybody.

Town North Mazda in Richardson is a good dealership but for any big projects or maintenance Rotary Performance in Garland is great.

Avoid Classic of Denton. Apparently I have a special kind of car that doesn't have pistons (LMAO). I keep hearing great things about Town North, No personal experience with then yet.

Yeah, the guys at rotary performance in garland are brilliant. I try to avoid the dealership for anything but warranty work, I've had too many bad experiences and heard too many horror stories.

@Riley, what's the name of that parts manager at Freeman? I'll have to go down there sometime

As Riley pointed out before Freeman Mazda has been a sponsor of the Texas 8 event from the beginning and we have never had any problems with them. I know a lot of NTX members that have bought parts from them and they give us pretty decent discounts, just be sure to let them know you are a part of the RX8club.
