That would be nice. Maybe I wouldn't have to move tables around. Not that I had any trouble doing it, but my doc says I am not supposed to lift more than 15 lbs. Now he didn't say I couldn't eat 15 lbs.:D

It was good meeting you and evryone else.

yeah, last night was fun, it was nice to see everyone again. Now I just need a rotor....and the car to go with it.

Does anyone has a rotor piece that is broken I could have for my office, I'd like to have a rotor on my desk.

I think it would be neat to have a rotor in a housing with an electric motor connected so that it would rotate in the housing sitting on the desk.

Humm, real rotor and housing would be pretty heavy, maybe if I could borrow a real rotor, housing and excentric shaft, I could create a template and make it out of wood with a small DC motor and put that on the desk.

Could you lay a ruler next to it and take a digital pic of it. I could then print that full size and use it for a template.

I can do that.

I was just thinking about it and if I reduced the scale to say 50%, I could make the housing fit on say a 8x11" paper and then make it out of hardwood. Something like Birdseye Maple would look really nice on a desk.

You might have to settle for a prototype. This could also get pretty time consuming as well. I have no access to a CNC machine so this will be hand made.

I also have another idea about using the excentric shaft to drive a second hand of a clock. Maybe later.

Sorry ML about your stolen RX-8. Someone stole my boss' truck outside of work, in broad daylight, and it was Valentine's Day; he had just bought some presents for his wife, and some rat bastard ran off with his truck. That's why I don't even let people look at my car.
