Question Anyone in DFW had their L flash done?

What dealership did you go to? Did you have to give them any kind of reasoning to have it flashed? I'd like to get my 8 L flashed just for the hell of it and I don't want any hassle. I havent called my dealer but they're out in hurst and I dont feel like driving all the way out there if I can avoid it and plus, they dont really have a real showroom or service center right now (hiley of hurst is completely redoing their dealership), so I doubt they could do it anyway.

Anybody?

I had it done at Hancock when I went in for the recall work a couple of weeks ago. I just told them that I had issues with the mileage and they did it. Since that time I got over 20 mpg for the first time on a trip to Denver when I averaged around 22 mpg.

Man, I always end up with John. Very cool guy. However, on my last visit for the recalls, I told him about the 'gas mileage' issue....he jotted that down and I was on my way. When I picked up the car we went over all the things I brought to his attention (brakes, gas, etc...) And he said they didn't find anything related to gas mileage! (darn it! - I should have read and showed to him the TSB for de-chocking & flooding.)

Anyways, I have to go back in for my 10K service & change the steering wheel (they are going to put some insulation on the steering wheel cover to subtle the rattles a little bit.)

I dealt with John when I first called about the recall work before I got the letter. He told me that they didn't have any parts and that I would have to wait until I got the letter. I called back over to the salesman that I bought from and raised holy he** because I knew that they had the parts to do the recall on the cars in inventory from reading on this site. Within 2 minutes Ted called me back and confirmed that yes indeed they did have the parts for the recall work and yes they would schedule me right away. My advice then, is deal with Ted and leave John for the other guys.

I got M flashed at Hiley Mazda of hurst on friday. I just brought it in w/o an appointment and it took them 20 minutes to do it. I told them I was having problems where the engine would crank and not start (not that I was, I just wanted the flash for a roadtrip I was about to take), and they took care of it.

My roadtrip MPG was averaging 21 at 80mph from Dallas to San Antonio and back. It was very very nice.

Had I driven the speed limit (70), it would probably have been better still because the secondary intakes are open at 80 mph.
