Any Interest in a DFW Meet Tues, Nov 25??
Since Creto is out of town and Thursday is Thanksgiving, I thought I'd see if anyone would be interested in meeting Tuesday even though I waited and it's LATE notice! I saw Red at COBB's and he said he had a long break from school so I thought I'd try to get a group together on the week he could actually come.
If anyone's interested, let me know. If not, have a great holiday and see everyone in a few weeks!

Well great then! Any preferences or you guys just wanna stick to BJ's/Buff Wild Wings/something in the Addison area? Suggestions and times welcome or I'll have to be decisive...
And Toad, where did you come from man? Lol, you gonna make it out tonight? That's a hell of a drive...and the snow ends at some point before Arkansas I'm sure, so you can't board your way over. Good to hear from you though!

I'm riding on Red's decisiveness and sayin' BJ's at 8 will work. BWW may have beer specials across the street but unless it makes a huge difference to anyone, I won't worry about it.

Well thank you...I think...have you been to more than three meets? Hmm? Lol
Speaking of cops, I think our stories got me too relaxed about them-got pulled over on the way home and was WAY too nonchalant about it. Haha, but no ticket.
"Ma'am, do you know why I pulled you over?"
"Um...drag racing down Arapaho...against unsuspecting Hondas?"
Yay for the I-just-left-an-RX8-meet highs. They apparently make you invincible! Thanks for coming guys, it was a lot of fun!
Stop! Collaborate and listen...

Lol, yeah, but only with accords-we all need to understand that Civics are better "then" 8's. That's a path I do NOT want to go down...
Yeah, seems like I always "get out of" tickets I deserve and am not trying to get out of. But the undeserved crap tickets I do try to get out of always even out the score. Drag racing down a residential? No big deal. Crossing over the double white HOV lines in the middle of the night with no traffic? "Impersonating an emergency vehicle?!" UNFORGIVABLE!!

it figures I find this a day late. Anyone else meeting any time in the near future? Also is there a local DFW 8 club? I moved here from Ga and we have the GARX8club. I was just wondering if there was anything like that here.

Dallas doesn't have a specific club. Huston does at www.houstonrx8club.com.
There is a pretty tight nit group here in the Dallas/ Ft.Worth area with a few regular meets. On alternate weeks there is a meet on Tuesday in grapevine at Flips (415 State Highway 114) ant the other in Addison at BJ's (Belt Line and Quorum).
You should stop on by sometime, its a good time.

for anyone in the Plano area at the Corner of Park and Coit behind the CVS they have car meets every Wednesday night starting around 8 and its hit or miss but normally there are some badass cars there. Lambo's, lots of nice RX-7's.... Etc, little bit of everything.

Yeah, VERY hit or miss I guess-in the Cici's parking lot, right? Been out there a few times, saw a ton of high school kids, lots of ricers. But if you're sayin I need to give it another chance, I'll be open minded

Well thank you, the meet was good, it was great to see you, and a HUGE congrats! I went to a game at Michigan once (one of the two stadiums in the nation larger than Kyle Field if I am not mistaken, and I may be, don't quote me)...nice area, fabulous campus-not a bad place to start as far as offers go! Keep us all posted on acceptance letters!
