1 tank of gas, 306 miles, still going
After 306 miles I have 1/4 a tank of gas left! Just drove home from being out of town for work. Came from San Antonio to Plano, cruise control at 70mph running just under 3krpm almost the entire way. Made the trip in 5 hours, could've made it in 4 and 1/2 if not for traffic in dallas.

I drove to Beaumont from Conroe a few days ago and set the cruise at 65mph. My low fuel light came on at 296 miles. I didn't take the time to check the mileage, but I'm happy with that.

I'm at 352 miles to the tank right now and low fuel light has been on since 330, I'm not risking it anymore, getting gas as soon as I leave work today. I think I could've gotten a lot more if I didn't use the last 1/4 of the tank on city driving rather than highway.

1935 lbs. FTW!
I got 328 on my first tank of gas, the yellow light had just come on for about 10 miles but I didn't know how far the car could go. Now I realize it comes on WAY early, probably could've pushed 350.

I don't understand guys! On my RX-8 (04, 6spd) I got around 230-240 miles when the yellow light comes on. I allways fill in full tank, and according to my calculations I'm getting an average 18 miles/gallon with 75% highway miles. Also I have installed thise gas saver thing that I bought on ebay... If anybody can give me an advise is there somthnig wrong with my car or else?

I figure anything over 200 miles on a tank "for me" a gim-me.
I will NEVER get 300 MPG because I don't drive over 60 MPH
for any extended periods.
We in-towner's are really getting better MPG then we calculate.
I know with my 100% in town driving I get about 200 a tank.
My "real" MPG is 15 to 20% higher because of false calculations
due to times sitting at idle and more accelerations (quantity and quality).
As we all know, driving like we stole it doesn't help our MPG either.
So too you 300+ MPG guys/gals, I'm happy for ya...
I'm having more fun with my 200 MPG driving habits
Gas Saver?!? Bhawahahaha!
It helped the eBay seller more then it helped you...

Its easy to get 300 miles out of a tank: just drive on a flat surface in 6th gear at 3800 RPM or less.
How boring is that.
I think its interesting that to get the EPA mileage out of a Renesis, you have to drive it in a way that is consistent with destroying the motor via carbon buildup.

I'm sorry, but I usually get about 280-300 miles to the tankful and I'm happy with that. I wouldn't sacrifice the fun of driving a 6 spd for an auto for gas mileage. I bought a 89 Honda Accord for that.

I drove to the Beaumont area twice over the holiday weekend and got 22.5 mpg. Shifted at 3,500 rpm and set cruise at 70 mph. I also think a slight decrease in the daytime temps helped. I'm happy with that.
As far as building up carbon...as soon as I dropped my kids off with my ex, I "beeped" it a few times, sure that took care of it!
