And what about the different reading between V1 and a Mazda tester? anyone found out if there was different readings?

With my limited experience with the Mazda tester (only watched it being used) my readings were within an acceptable tolarance . The Mazda tester seems to have several ways to change the readings so it seems to me that it is only as good as the operator. The TR-01 requires that you keep a fresh battery in it and use the correct correction factor for your vehicle.

Lets just say that I use them heavily, I am one of the offical testers of the V2

This was a Compression Test OFF at one of our local meets, everyone puts in 5 bucks to play, the person with the Lowest compression gets the pot. Kinda like a sorry about your bad luck here is the start of a rebuild fund. This was the first one and had a decent outcome.

Twisted Rotors has his own forum. I went on the forum and found the last post from him was December 4th but no mention of when we would see version #2. Also left a message to please update us.
