I remember what I went through when I was gettng the Turbo installed on my car With the amount of money you spent at Mazsport ontop of what ever you spent on the car beforeyou sent it to them you could have had an RS4 or an M3 make sure those guys pay hit them where it hurtstheir pockets, take the company and not just the guy Scott to court and get all your money back and then some.

thanks guys.

pat, yes i'll be getting some stuff from ya once i figure out what i'm going to do.
cm and all tristate people, thanks for the encouragement. i'm in west penn now, but probably will be moving out to cali soon
r8, i was one of the 5 guys that had scott fly out to CA for interceptor tune. i casually talked about 20b with scott then. scott took the initiative to call me later about doing the 20b for me. i also shopped around at crispeed, agosta, pettit, etc. who made theirselves known for 20b projects, but eventually went with scott which turned into a disaster shortly thereafter.
to all willingly helping hands/members, i'll post on major hp section once i start the build. thanks kindly.

to those trying to reach me for various reasons, i turned off my pm because i'm quite ocd about replying messages, and i've been getting more than i can handle. i can say that for past 2 years, making this information public on the forum was very difficult when scott still had my car at mazsport for the possibilities of retaliation.

i'll post on major hp section about continuing the build once my schedule lightens up. so till then, i just wanted to make this known. it is what it is, and you have everything here.

fyi, scott called me yesterday minutes after the post got posted asking me to take it down. hell, i was waiting for his call all day yesterday because he said he was going to call to talk about the invoice.

as for legal actions, i rather not go that route because a lawyer will cost even more money and all scott has to do is to just SEND ME MY STUFF OR REFUND. quite simple really. i assume he was more to loose here than my parts/refund if he keeps this up, so i'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt that he's not a complete idiot. from what i hear and read on rx7club, scott has also been sued by bunch of rx7club forum members in the past for various reasons.

if someone has a good idea, feel free to start up another thread or mention it here. from pm's i received, i'm definitely not the only one wanting to get money/property back from scott.

and wanna ask scott how he gets all the items he sells on ebay? as far as i'm concerned, lot of them are just straight-up STOLEN items from their CUSTOMERS. and o look, i see my tranny being sold in his ebay store.

and this was probably my catch can:

All the prices are CRAZY.. I paid 3500 for my 20B and about 3500 more for the internal parts, street port and labor, So thats 7000 for the engine ready to go. 2200 for a new dual ball bearing gt42, you know what its not even fair to tell you something you already know.. But he really just added some crazy numbers just to get to the total he wanted...... Cant believe I did in a month what this bunch of !@#$@!# couldnt do in 2 years..

holy ****!!!!

I can't believe something like this could happen to you by a FORUM VENDOR. I don't want to sound like I'm bashing Mazsport but what was done to you is a COMPLETE scam.
Your parts are gone, the invoice is obviously fraudulent (figures make no sense) and I do not see this resolved.

Stick; as much as I hate to sa it, legal action is your only option here. Scott has already asked you to delete this because he knows if you do, he's won. Even if you don't delete this, unless this gets bumped every week, Scott will hope it slowly dies off and is forgotten by us and the newer memebers here will NEVER see it. again, Scott wins and your situation is still unresolved.

if you have all of your email / PM conversations and can document timelines, hire an attorney and go after your money. I know it involves spending even more money but lets be frank here: you had $32,000 on a 20b, I'm sure you can cough up another $2k to begin this case.
Make sure your attorney sues for your costs as well and you can recover what you are going to pay him.

Good luck.

Wow I'm shocked and really sorry to hear that. A lawyer will not cost you that much and would be well worth it. Especially if you're talking in the 30-40K range. You can settle pretty easily out of court if the evidence is clearly in your favor, which I believe it is.

I've bought my ignition system from Scott and it's a top notch piece but there's a big difference between running a good business and making good parts.

I'm really sorry to hear that this has happened to you. At minimum the car should have been returned to you in the condition you gave it to him in.

Sorry to hear that.
Is it possible in the U.S. to find the other "scammed" guys and sue in Mazsport together? This would save you time and money and make the situation clear to the judge.

just be careful with statutes of limitations too. in an unrelated situation, my wife didn't get paid by her employer who eventually closed up shop and started somewhere else. she wanted to wait it out b/c a bunch of the others were suing and they stonewalled them and strung her along saying she would get paid first since she wasn't being so confrontational. well, they strung her long enough that the statute for action ran out and we're out a few thousand dollars and no way to take them to court.

legal action is your best option right now and i wouldn't wait too long to start the process.

A class action suit in FL requires something like 2.5 million or above in damages to take place.

Something else to consider is that the forum owners themselves bare some responsibility if a vendor is doing unethical/illegal things and the forum is enabling them. The forum owners have a vested interest in keeping bad vendors around simply because they are paid several thousand a year for vendor fees.

Complete and utter Bullshit! They should be lucky your not down there with a baseball bat, as I tell my friends "$5-10 I could care less about getting back but once your dealing with over a hundred damn straight I making sure I get it back.". (close to) 40k though omfg you should honestly be down there now that I think of it with a shotgun.

If you and him signed contract stating a time frame/table then your golden, and he's screwed hardcore. And I hope you did sign a contract and kept all messages between you two saved. From what you posted up on here in terms of a time table it shows severe neglect and disregard for the project. That and I thought atleast with my limited knowledge of this side of the business that you pay a portion upfront be it a quater or half the cost and pay the rest upon completion? This ensures that the contract time is honored and both parties have leverage. Seek legal action from a lawyer who specializes in this most I'm sure will work off of the premise of "We dont get paid unless you do.". Oh and make sure you slap on that rescheduling fee you had to pay to get your car, I'm sorry that was complete bullshit.

Stick I hope your car does become complete one way or another and this is all sorted out in YOUR FAVOR!

Three pages and no response from Mazsport? We know he is aware of the thread since he asked to get it deleted, yet no desire to defend himself. Seems kind of gutless to ask the thread be removed without responding on it. I have heard a lot of really bad things about Mazsport and not only will I not shop there, but I will recommend to everyone in our club to stay away.
