Thumbs down RX8/7store.net

I just want to post my frustration with this seller. Purchased brake upgrade kit, which includes front/back set of slotted rotors and brake pads. Price is great I might add. Brake pads arrive in 3 days or so and Jason is very nice and polite in emails that rotors on back order and should ship in 3 days. Ok fine, as my stock brakes are working great, no rush. Please note that entire balance charged to credit card. Well after 5 days and still no rotors I send out two emails. I attempted to leave a VM two days in a row but the VM was full. I finally left a VM message after two unanswered emails and still have not heard a thing.

Now I have no problem with back orders but set some realistic time frames and keep your customers in the know, especially if you have all ready billed them!!!! There are some legal issues in regards to transactions as such, but this is not the time or place. The biggest issue, is that this is extremely poor customer service and poor business practices.

I've always had a problem getting things in a timely manner from RX7store.net...when I order things there, I try to avoid "needing" them within a month or so.

Last time, I ordered 2 Greddy 720cc injectors..canceled the order after it hadn't arrived after 3 weeks (canceled online) and they ended up on my doorstep 4 days later. Got my refund, and the parts...

Just a heads up!

Then sent me my new flywheel in 3 days, but the counterweight took 2 1/2 weeks to arrive... sounds like a trend with them. Im usually willing to risk it though because their prices are pretty good.

Let’s see my order was placed 2/21/2007 at 5:10PM Here is my last email from them
from RX7store.net...
date Mar 5, 2007 2:44 PM
subject RE: rx7store.net Order Confirmation

Justin,

Sorry for the delay. I talked with my supplier today and he said the rotors had been on backorder. This is first I have heard of that. He said they could go out in the next day. Let me know if that is ok.

Thanks

Jason

Still no word from Jason. Hello how about a returned call or email... my god... Well from what I am getting out of this is they just do business this way and offer good prices. So take good prices with crap service or pay more and get good service. This will be my last purchase from them; I strongly recommend everyone does the same. Pay the extra 50 to 100 dollars to go with someone else.

Keep you all posted on how much time it takes. Well if I get no word by 3/19/07, it’s being disputed with My CC Company.

I didn't have any trouble with them. I ordered the ACT combo, and got it when I expected (Ordered on a friday morning, received throw-out bearing and counterweight next thursday, and pp & friction disc on friday). I remember calling that thursday to ask about the pp and disc, and they said it usually comes in two packages and that I should receive it the next day.

Guess I got lucky.

That will be my plan if I don't get the product from them. I strongly considered racingbrake but trying to save some dollars went with rx7xtore.net. Well I filed an Attorney General complaint so maybe that will get their attention.

I've had a great experience with rx7store.net Ordered the Act clutch/flywheel combo, underdrive pulleys, stainless steel brake/clutch lines and everything came in a timely manner. I was totally satisfied with their prices and service. No complaints here.

To those that have ordered Brake rotors from us I appologize for the long delays. My supplier has been horrible in getting stuff shipped in a timely manner and I have been as frustrated as you. From now on I will only sell rotors that I have in stock at my location, which will give me the ability to provide tracking as soon as they ship. I was drop shipping them to save on shipping charges to me, but will stock these from now on.

For those that order clutch parts, those I stock and able to get them out in 1-2 days.

NMOcho, have you tried calling me? What was the name on the order? All of my brake orders shipped last thrusday, so yours were probably in there.

Jason,
Acutally as stated in my opener.. "Well after 5 days and still no rotors I sent out two emails. I attempted to leave a VM two days in a row but the VM was full. I finally left a VM message after two unanswered emails and still have not heard a thing."

My VM was left March 7 or 8 and still no call back. On 3/14/07, you sent me an email saying your supplier would ship them. Still no package or tracking numbers. Today, at 9:20am MST, I called your number and "we sorry this mailbox is full" same story different day. So I will now send you an email.

You can have supplier problems, but you need to do the right/legal thing and take care of your customers.

**** UPDATE *********

Ok heard from Jason... and he is getting those rotors out to me. I look forward to this being resolved and I thank everyone that has posted.

I'm very pleased that Jason (RX7store.net) is finally being proactive. It appears my experience will help others not to go through the same.

Not sure where your emails are going, because I answer mine twice a day usually.

What is the name on the order so I can look it up?

THanks

Rotors have arrived. I have to say if the rotors had come as fast as my brake pads I would have been thrilled.

Note to everyone. Jason did make things right! So very pleased with that.

I can agree with the timely manner that it takes to recieve the parts. It's very frustating also because your credit card will get charged the very next day but your parts dont arrive for like 2 weeks, that's not cool thought. Another thing that get's me a little upset is that i have called 3 times and gotten the same "sorry but my supplier..." excuse and that kind of gets me upset. I will not complain about the price because the price is great. I would just wish that the store and that supplier can come in aggreance of how long it's gonna take and then add a couple of days to that to not get customer upset. I have recieved my rotors but still waiting on my brake pads. When i called yesterday I spoke to someone(didnt get the name) and he told me because of how long it took they where gonna over night it to me. Hopefully i get them today or maybe if i get real lucky 2morrow.

Customers need to realize that shipping takes time. For one our website specifically states on the front page that is take 2 days to process an order because of how busy we are. If you order a part on a thursday the odds are it wont get processed until Monday, which is 4 days. Weekends dont count. If Im sending something from Cali to Florida that is 6 business days shipping via ground and weekends dont count so 7 days in transit. So the earliest is 12 days and that is if the distributer ships them the next day. When ordering brakes off my site it says product ship in about 5 days. So if you order on a thursday, processed on a monday, ship 5 days later and then 7 days in transit that comes out to 16 days. Im giving a worse case scenario and on most parts its not that long, but typically on these brakes it can take a couple of weeks.
Shipping time depends on where they come from, where there going and if an item is in stock or not.

Raymond,
I just sent you an email about the pads. They have been sitting in florida for a few days and UPS claims they have a wrong address.
