FRAUD ALERT! The name's MazdaManiac

First of all, I beg your pardon for my english.

I've contacted with MazdaManiac for the first time on 20,Jan,2008 by Email to buy his product. He did reply me very gently to make me to believe himself.
So I decided to buy his products and then I've transfered the money USD 6,260 to him thru Paypal on 3,Feb,2008. (Unique Transaction ID #04K45604WN488512R).
He never shiped any product to me for 8 weeks, so I claimed several times to ship my turbo kit which I've paid for. But I've found he is banned from this forum.
Now he never answer me and absconded.

I did file a report to FBI(also IC3) for such a dirty crime.
Also I did filing a compliant to several agencies in Korea.
And let my friend in Florida trace this guy.

Please if anyone know his phone number or address.
Let me know about it. I will much appreciate your cooperation.

Thanks.

Jeff's banned for " administrative" reasons on here.....not cause he's a scammer of any type...

Contact him off his website and you should get a reply...

mazdamaniac.com

Did he give you a timeframe about when you would get your kit??

As a Moderator here, I will verify that this is true. I haven't known Jeff to scam anyone. Just keep trying to contact him and I'm sure it will all be worked out.

Did you do a dispute on Paypal? You should get your money back by then.
Keep a note. Never buy anything over $500.00 make sure you have a contact number to call back to verify the company is real.

Never had a single problem with MazdaManiac, i was in contact with him before the ban stuff and yes, the easiest way is to contact him through his email address since without expecting too fast replies.
I really don't think and believe he is a scammer.

Thanks guys for your replies.
You dont want to believe this and neither do I
But this is true, it has been almost 3 months past since I've paid.
I emailed him several times to solve this problem.
He never answer me.
If he has something to tell me. then I'd like to ask him to be honest.

He's been very busy recently, and hasn't been home much.

I've personally sent him several thousand dollars for hardware and he's always come through. Jeff has even been to my house in Tampa.

You have jumped the gun by assuming the worse so quickly.

I have his cell phone number, and home address, as do many others here on the forum. I could tell him to reply here, but it isn't going to happen since he's banned. I'll send him a SMS message though.

He's barely answering anyone's emails right now :P

And I don't see it getting better till after this weekend because Friday there is a big dyno meet where he'll be tuning cars.

I just sent him a SMS message about this thread. But he can't reply till next tuesday in this thread due to the ban.... hopefully he'll get in touch with you via email.

why spend 6,000 on a 20hp gain?

or on a turbo at that.

the rx8 has enough air going into the motor as it is, why force more into it,

id only turbo my 8 if i had enough money to rebuild the motor and all the repairs that are gonna come along with running a turbo.

and id much rather go with a diff turbo. somthing other then greddy

Business is Business, Busy in your personal life is what you choice.. Taking Customer money $6,000 and never shipped the item out or not returning customer email replay is a big issue. If you can't do the business right please send the money back to the customer. You already look bad on your business. Customer can't trust you . No excuse what so every.

What? You're talking about a minimum gain of 100 whp, with the ability to go to 180 whp over stock.

Rebuild the motor for what purpose? There is nothing to rebuild unless something has broken.

I don't know what this person bought, but I assume 3k went to a base greddy kit, plus upgraded couplers, fuel injectors, and another $1800 went towards the GT3071R turbo.

What was your point again?

I agree with you on that. But I don't speak for Jeff, and don't know what's happening with this.

BTW, If you search Jeff's previous posts, he did mention someone's kit going missing in the mail. You might be that person.

Mike, he might seem not to care but trust me, if you don't have time to answer emails you simply don't have it.
The mails i sent him are all in his interest because they are about something he needed from me.
Guess what? he didn't reply. I know for sure he didn't because of his business and commitments.
But i am pretty sure he will come over this period and solve this "monetary" situation and answer my mails as well.

I don't think that 6000$ are enough to ruin his name and experience worldwide so there's either something we don't know or he is unaware of the problem.

again +1 for MM as far as it reguards me

im just not a fan of turbos. i dont like lag, and the part of rebuilding if you want to run your car to its potential.

thats my point.
not to be a *** much like you were to your response to my post, i just wouldnt turbo my 8 unless i had extra money stored away just for repairs/

That's the thing, you are an ***. You don't understand how turbos work, but you have the nerve to sit there and lecture to me that they're laggy.

To the OP,
have you looked at what the status is with the tracking #?

Angelo sep3,
The Greddy turbo and the Garret 3071 is by no means "laggy" on this car. I have full boost by 2580 rpm.

Man this sucks; I will chime in also; that Jeff got me hooked up above and beyond the call of duty; so I am pretty sure you are not being scammed.

However; this should definitely get addressed ASAP. FWIW; I know that there are times when he cannot get the turbo's (GT3071R) due to them being sold out; and caused a 1 month delay in my kit. he has to get all the parts; then machine a bunch of them; then test fit; then assemble them into the packaging and ship.

So if he can't get his hands on the GT3071R that kinda kills the whole process until they come in.

2 months down the road doesnt replay back on the email Is very concerning .
Just send back $6000 to customer if Jeff is busy. If Jeff not busy then tell customer if he or she would like to continue the order. That is all simple !

dude, when youre busy youre busy. its people like you that make people like me hate my job. i work at a performance brake shop, you cannot complain after 2 weeks when it takes 2 weeks to custom make the damn rotors. than it needs to be zinced and cleaned, than balance, and finally wrapped and shipped to the customer.

I think 2 months is too long to respond to an email from a customer. Wouldn't you agree?
It's not like he expected everything to arrive the very next day he ordered and paid. Asking for an update and not getting one after 2 months is pretty unreasonable.
