Would like opinions please. I do not want to call the individual out, because it may just be a fluke, I don't know. I paid a forum member for a couple of items yesterday evening 10-26-2012, just about this time or a bit sooner. We had communicated via the Forum PM system. All Messages are still in my Inbox. he sent me a message just before I sent him the money. Just after I sent him the money for the items, I have yet to hear anything from him at all. No message yesterday or today. I have since sent another with no response. I paid him via Pay Pal, and I am well aware of their procedures for disputes if it comes to that. I have bought a few items from individuals in the past and everyone I have ever dealt with was quite prompt in responses and providing tracking information for the package(s). My question is how long do you believe is a reasonable amount of time before I file a dispute with Pay Pal. I realize it has only been 24 hours, I am just used to responses in the order of minutes or hours not days which makes me a bit concerned. It is not a staggering amount of money, but would just like some communication if there is an issue with getting it shipped out.

Comments, suggestions? By the way the individual has been a member since 2010 and has a pretty decent trader score. I am being vague on purpose. If it turns out to be nothing, I don't want to call him out for no reason. However if it turns out I have to dispute the transaction I will let others know who the individual is.

Thanks

You have 30 days with PP. If you file a complaint after only 24 hours they will just laugh at you (and so would I). Give it at least 2 weeks minimum. There is nothing that will be any different today than 2 weeks from now as far as whether you got taken or not, but likely you just need to settle down and be patient.

PM sucks for communication because you have to be on the forum to use it. Always best to establish and revert to email communication IMO. Try sending him an email using the PP address.

Thanks. I had no intention of filing giving the length of time that has transpired so far. Given I have never had to do it before, I just wanted to know what was thought to be a reasonable amount of time. Hurry up and wait was our motto in the Military. I put a phone in the repair shop about two weeks ago to get repaired. I was told it would be ready two Saturdays ago...still no phone? I will just never give them any more of my business, if I ever get my phone back lol. Thanks again man.
