Let me see if I am understanding the purpose of this thread from the point of view of those that are posting in it that do not have any stake in the outcome (i.e. - they are not purchasers of the MM Upgrade Kit).

For those people, this thread seems to serve one of the following purposes:
1) To try to motivate me somehow to produce these last kits sooner than I have thus far
2) To agitate the customers involved into further action
3) To dissuade others from becoming customers of mine or;
4) To otherwise tarnish my image further
5) To irritate me for the sake of seeing me irritated
6) To inflate your sense of self-importance
7) To generate an aura of compassion, or;
8) To make yourself look like a "good-guy"
Now, since most of the non-customers clearly fall into the 4 through 8 category, there really isn't much to be said about that. Their motivation is transparent.

But, for those that truly feel they are speaking up here on the basis of the first three points, let me elucidate you a bit:

1) There is absolutely nothing - no amount of money, persuasion or pain will cause these last kits to be made more quickly. It isn't a question of motivation or economics.
2) Though I do appreciate how civil those that are actually materially involved have been and I do appreciate their patience and reserved approach, there is nothing that any court in the land can take out of my wallet or hide that will help anyone involved.
3) To try to cause me to have no income at all, while probably entertaining for some, would not be terribly helpful in moving this situation forward. That said, the actual influence of this forum on the potential customer base at large is highly overstated by those who try to use it as a bully pulpit.

Furthermore, I'm sure that, were I in the customer's position, I would find your attempts to "protect" me insulting. I believe that Carbon, Czar and Erx8 probably do not need mommies at this point in their lives.

I stay here and take my licks because I know that I am going to get through this and close this chapter and I know that I have more to gain by taking it on the chin that folding and moving on to another endeavor like those that have scammed this community in the past.

Those that know me, know with confidence where this is all going and know that I don't bail.

Those that don't can kiss my ***.

That's the trouble with input from people who have no horse in this race - you just get third-hand hearsay bullshit about 'my buddy' and all the details are wrong.

I think the standard for trolling will get lower in these feedback threads unless they only involve the supplier and his actual customers; other input is, by definition, specious.

Not to fan a flame. Some sort of extra communication would be nice. I know I cant seem to receive email from you and seen it happen to some other to. Maybe a blog of work log or what not where people can just login and see.

Not to divert attention, jack the topic, or point fingers; it does not matter how much information or communication any of we vendors provide. I e-mail people on the progress of their orders as best I can and even when the webpage specifically states something, I always get e-mails asking a question that was answered when they ordered their part(s), had they read the webpage. To wit: MazdaManiac's Cobb AccessPort Instructions Instructions.

As I have said for a long time, that parts are easy. The people are the challenge. Always will be.

It serves the same purpose as those you have posted in regarding other vendors/competitors. i don't recall you ever trying to disuade anyone from posting there or otherwise demonstrating any understanding for similar plites. The people you owe kits too seem to suggest that there is little/no communication from you on their status, yet you never seem to be at a loss for time responding to people you claim have no right to be involved with the subject. Interesting ....

I am 80% a rat in the corner who is curious to see the outcome ... 20% a potential customer .... oh and the lever and nate story was cool

with that being said ... I do respect MM and will no longer post ... just lurk

I think that Czar's point here is pretty well taken. I have been patient in dealing with this issue, drunk posts not withstanding, but I would have been even more patient (and likely would feel less scammed as I do right now) if there would have been an honest attempt at notifying me of the issues as they arose. No excuses, just facts; e.g., "An issue has come up. Having issues with water jet dude. Ship date has been pushed back 3 more months." Hell, I would have been WAY better off if Jeff would have just said, at nine months post-payment, "I cannot see supplying you with the kit anytime soon. No horizon. No expected ship date. I cannot supply you with what you paid for and I have no money to refund your money." Had he been honest and informative at that point, I coudl have gotten my money back from the CC company. As it is now, it would be difficult and likely simply impossible. I instead got a semi-informative run around of very rare emails or forum posts only when I got disruptive and annoying. Granted, I was overly patient as I tend to be (and even have cooled off recently on this topic.)

I will agree with Jeff on his above analysis. He may be an irresponsible businessman, an ******* who thinks entirely too much of himself, and a thief in my book until proven otherwise (perhaps a thief-of-consequence, but a thief nevertheless,) but he is highly intelligent, capable of deeper thought than most folks could even conceive, and puts effort into, and places value on, honest intellectual exercise. He may deserve pillory, but perhaps only those injured should be throwing tomatoes.

Instead of responding to me perhaps he should instead be addressing the people who entrusted him with their money

"If you don't like it" is a 2 way street pal, you're not any more special than anyone else here. If you had an iota of sense you'd follow your own advice.

Bullshit. I am special - MY NAME IS IN THE TITLE OF THE THREAD.

Like it or not, that allows me to say what I want.

So, you DON'T want me to post here?

Fine. TeamRX8 Says I shouldn't contribute to this thread, so I won't.

I guess #8 it is.

I suppose you'll be knocking me for grammar or spelling next ... since when does telling people to kiss your ***, to f-ck off, or how this thread only serves your personal amusement amount to a contribution? In the meantime the people you owe kits to can't get a peep out of you on their status other than they'll eventually get it when it shows up at the door in some undefined time frame. Oh yeah, and we should also worship you because regardless if it takes 3 years, or 5 years, or whenever you'll be such a stand up guy for eventually coming through .... never mind that nobody has their RX-8 anymore when that day finally comes

Nothing I say here amounts to anything compared to what you reveal about yourself time and time again, so why you are more concerned about anything I post rather than yourself continues to confuse me.

Your name is on the thread because people have been burned in the process of doing business with you. Call me #8, #6, or what-the-f-ever. One thing here is clear, you are definitely #2 and that you have smeared it about on yourself and the people who trusted in you for 2.5 years and counting is the extent of your importance.

.

Really? So you want the people involved here to sue me or involve the BBB, the DA or the police or break my kneecaps or something?

Think that one through for a sec and see who would benefit from that.

Pull your head out of your butt and take a few deep breaths. I've never said or even implied anything of the sort. This thread serves it's purpose, nothing more. Again, nothing I say here comes across with more negativity on yourself than your own silly replies. Groveling some might be a better tactic than acting like you are above being called out like any other vendor who has failed to communicate, deliver product in a reasonable time frame, and otherwise acts like the customer is there to serve them rather than the other way around.
