you guys are in trouble

American engineers are getting better. I have a 2004 Sunfire that handles, communicates some feeling through the steering wheel, pulls convincingly to redline and sips fuel. Of course, the engine is actually Swedish, the seats have zero support (lateral or otherwise), the trunk only shuts occasionally, the driver's door fell off its hinge (twice), and when I'm low on fuel a little light comes on that says "CHECK GAGES" [sic]. Keep in mind this thing has been on the road about six months (10k miles).

Don't confuse the Chrysler badging of the Crossfire with it's true German origins.
It was the first car off my short list, due to the cramped cockpit, weird trunk, lack of usable space and gearbox that felt like it was in a different area code than the shifter. And the odor from some adhesive they presumably used in the interior got into my smeller and wouldn't leave for about a day.
Summary: overpriced and under-equipped.

A cross fire blow the doors of an RX8? Funning in practical application, my RX8 blew the dorrs of a brand new cross fire. Funning how advertizing and real world application don't always compare. Oh I am sure the owner of the crossfire was taken back that no matter what he did, this so called under powered RX8 simply toyed with him as if going a steady 120mph is an every day event.
In trouble? Not hardly.
