My RX 8 will not start. When I try to start the lights, radio, interior lights all come on. I tried jumping it and it still will not start. The motor turns over and it has 55,000 miles on it.

unless.. when you are trying to start it is the little key light blinking on the dash? how much gas does it have?

any mods? not just ones you think might effect starting, any at all?

So.............same questions I asked in the other thread.

1.) Automatic or manual?

2.) Approx. location in case someone can swing by and lend a hand? Don't be too descriptive at this point.

 

Meh :/ by the looks of this thread here i think im flooded too :/ my Rx has 70,000 miles, no mods, manual, and it has enough gas. There were two possible culprits i could think of for my rx not starting, one the spark plugs gave out or two.............. flooded :/

 

1) Try clearing the chambers by cranking the car and having the gas pedal FLOORED for 15 secs. Then try to start normally. Flooring the gas pedal and cranking cuts fuel injection and the engine should cycle any fuel out of it on its own.

2) Buy new plugs and change them! If you flooded, your plugs are definitely fouled!
