The new VE Holden Commodore (aka Pontiac G8) is a top 3 finalist in Australia's WHEELS Mag COTY.

The winner to be announced in about 12 hours.
The other 2 contenders are..

BMW 3 Coupe
Toyota Aurion (Australian built Camry with larger V6)

Still my tip on the winner is the Holden Commodore.

The Mazda CX-7 made it into the Top 7.

i really hope all this g8 talk happens. itd be nice to have a performance minded sedan.

 

I still wish to slap GM across the face for calling it a G8.. UGH.. they learned nothing from the GTO fiasco (to some atleast). Then again just means that some Austrialian dealerships will be getting alot of badge orders for the Commadore SS. Hope it wins be nice press for GM to hype to the dealerships and to people (but might confuse them due to it being called sumthing else.).

^Sounded like some of you Austrialians didnt like Wheels choice lol..
Be it true or not if the win was "bought" is a moot point, half of the sales charts or "editor's choices" we see or read are pretty much bought nowadays. I knew someone who worked at a FYE record store and their top ten a friend told me is record label bought. Still its good press for GM when they start to release press for the Commodore US release.

 

Looks like GM knew they had a winner on their hands.... hence the G8.
