Just upgraded a month ago from a 03 rsx autotragic. Loved the car, but with how much $$$ it would have taken to make it not suck, just traded it in for what I really wanted.

First car was an '89 Bonneville. All-steel construction that took a hell of a beating from being rear-ended by a full-size truck in highway traffic to having half of an 80-year-old tree fall on the trunk. Still drove fine when I sold it off to a friend, though it did have a leaky radiator.

Last car was an '03 Toyota Celica GT (Auto. yuck.) Decent car that I wanted since I first started looking at cars.

The '8 came about after my tastes became a bit more refined.

Ditto,

I had an 03 GT with minor bolt ons, nothing major but just not stock.
Got it with 35K miles and traded it in with 55K miles. Put 20K miles on it in slightly over 2 years.

Funny story on my RX-8, I have always liked them and wanted my G/F to own one(two sports cars in our garage always sounded cool :-)

She fell in love with our 06 GT(AT) and we took it home the day we test drove it(her car was totalled out so we were in the market for a car anyway).

I loved the 8 due to how amazingly well it handles and the decent acceleration it provided for her. Within 2 weeks she complained of the gas milage and lack of trunk space(she is a cyclist and didn't like disassembling her brand new C/F road bike to transport it) Bike Rack was out of the question for the 8, it's a sports car :-P

My Mustang was giving some slight dissapointments so we agreed to trade the Mustang in on a brand new 2010 Mazda 3(dealer threw in the roof rack for free). I took over the RX-8 and have to say I am probably happier in the 8 than I was in my Mustang, even going from manual to AT, the 8 provides a lot more joy.

I just sold my 2003 Cadillac Escalade. 24" rims, subs, all pimped out. How is THAT for a change up? I test drove the 8 because a friend of my dad's was selling it way under BB and I thought, eh, why not drive it? That was the end of that story...

1996 Mazda 626

Black with 16inch after market rims, Pirelli Tires, 20% tints, Infinity speakers, 2x12" MTX subs with 1k Watts going to them... Drove it for 4 years until the tranny crapped out on me at 102k miles... damn ford tranny sucked *****. I googled "Mazda 626 tranny" and got like a 785839 results all saying the same thing...lol "Dies after 95k miles"

Thanks Ford, because of you i finally got my hands on the car i wanted for 6 years.

Pretty easy to rice one out.
I kept mine nearly stock on the exterior, supercharged and all-out race suspension & tranny.

Vehicle history:

1999 Chevy blazer that I beat the hell out of.. sold it before the front end fell OUT
2004 Nissan Maxima that I had no intention of trading until I drove an 8.. caught the bug then, a week later I saw my car when the previous owner had it at the dealership being serviced. The guy traded my 8 for a Camero on Saturday and I bought the car on Monday (the dealership was closed Sunday lol)

I wanted better gas mileage. LOL! (Sadly, I'm serious.) I had a 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, built up to my liking. I loved it! I miss it! But I don't miss the 10-12mpg! Also had a 2008 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R (Stolen). :-( Here are a few pics...

93 Ford Probe GT

I loved my 93 Probe GT 5-speed. I had it for 5 years before deciding to sell it and buy my motorcycle. I absolutely love my 8.....but there will always be a special place in my heart for the Probe.
