really I hope to drive Rotaries for the rest of my life and I'm in my 20s

I wouldn't be caught dead in a Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Porsche, or Corvette...but I wouldn't mind a Aston Martin as a second car :D
I meant to put 300M srt8, I put it on there just cause its a beast, but in all honesty, I love my 8, and I could easily stay rotary

OK, you're right, damn it's tempting!

But I'm still enjoying the RX-8, its time hasn't past yet. And I really want to wait and see what the future brings in the way of new cars. The 911 will always be there.

Once one gets a 911, it will be a tough act to follow. Where does one graduate to from there? (Ferrari maybe, but that's so over the top.)

Furthermore, all cars depreciate. I see RX-8 owners cry about their cars dropping in value, let me tell you it's nothing compared to how much you lose on cars north of $70K. You can lose the equivalent of a whole RX-8 in 2 years with something like a BMW 7 series. There are better things to do with one's money than buy expensive cars.

So for now, I'd rather just leave the 911 out there as a dream car, and enjoy the spice of life that is the variety of cars in the $30-$55K range that will be coming in the next 2-3 years.
