My worst car i ever bought was a 1988 Turbo II RX7. Bought it knowing the engine was pretty much toast, rebuilt it and never got it running right again.

Bought a 1989 GTUs RX7 with 200k miles, best ******* car i have ever bought, outside the RX8.
Appeared to be the original engine, brought that bitch to redline at every shift, got the water temps up and over 230* on many summer days. Never ever a problem with flooding, or low power, also returned 25mpg average on a 4.30 GTUs final drive!

83 Cutlass Supreme.

Got it for free with a wrecked drivers rear quarter and a blown engine. Dropped another 3.8 in it, fixed the wreckage and painted it. New engine ate the rear rope seal and spun bearings. Rebuilt it with a new crank, bearings and seals. Lost both rear brake valves at the same time but managed to limp home. It leaked under the rear seats, lost the fuel pressure regulator, ate points, and didn't have enough power to get out of it's own way. I spent about $3k over the course of a year to get it look decent and to fix all the little **** that kept breaking. Sold it for $800 to the first idiot that looked at it.

Only ever owned 2 cars: my 1995 T-bird LX which was reliable as the day is long, and my 2005 RX8 GT which I love.

So instead I'll talk about the worst car I almost bought. Can't remember the year but it was a used orange 350Z. WORST clutch I have ever driven. Idk if the clutch was bad or what but dayum. Absolutely no feel to it and was hurting my leg after a 15 minute test drive. Shifter was probably the best I've ever tried, but horrible clutch. The interior was ridiculously cheap. I had test driven a Mustang GT a few days before that and I can honestly say the Mustang had the better interior. Handling was good. The straight line speed was not so good. I mean I knew it was faster than the RX8 because I knew the stats but it just didn't feel as fast or as eager as the RX8. Then the price. I don't care what the spec sheet said, the only visable upgrades (had rubber pedals, cloth seats, weak stereo, etc) was it was a convertible and they wanted $30,XXX for it. Rip off. It was fun when you're blasting around town at full throttle. But otherwise it sucked as a highway cruiser, it sucked in traffic, and sucked as a daily commuting vehicle. Moral of the story: try before you buy.

It's a toss up between the Mitsubishi Starion and the Subaru SVX. Starion was just one engine problem after another before it killed itself. The SVX was a damn good car except the transmission which I had replaced 3 times before getting rid of the car.

I was somewhat forced to buy a '73 AMC Gremlin. Was something of a sleeper really. Unfortunately, the header fell off and would send gas fumes under the car when I let off the gas and up through rusty holes in the passenger floorboard. These would then ignite in the cabin, a fact I did not know until I had a passenger back there. Was pretty humorous watching him leap up out of the seat and scream, "MY FEET ARE ON FIRE!!!" or some such nonsense as they were not really on fire.

This was fun until the hot exhaust burnt through the engine mounts.

My 04 RX8. While i love the car, it's been nothing but a money pit and has even threatened my marriage. Case in point I just got it back from my mechanic, who put in a new engine, and now it won't crank when it's hot. Starts when cold, but after I drive it and it gets hot, if I turn it off and then try and start it, nothing. This after just putting $4,700 in it. I have an appointment with my mechanic Friday to check this out.

1994 Oldsmobile Achevia because of the Quad 4 engine probably the worst engine GM ever built. Makes the Renesis look flawless.

An '88 Oldsmobile touring sedan or whatever that piece of sh*t was called. The air conditioning would always go out, couldn't roll the windows down (if you did, the window wouldn't roll back up), would make an irritating dinging noise while driving. The noise a car makes when the key is in the ignition and the door is left open, except it made the noise after the engine was at regular operating temperature and driving around. Argh!! I hated that thing.

ohh i would have to say i have only bought 2 cars in my life so far and driven 5, and the 96 firebird i bought for my first car was a POS from the very beginning i bought at 104k miles i for $3,200, it was a great car i loved it, it was just lack of being taken care of from previous owners, the guy i bought it from looked like a meth head to say the least, i put in about 4k into fixing things that went wrong with it and still had plenty more to go, i sold it and bought the 8 and am happy with it and nothings gone wrong with it majorly so far, otherwise i would have to say the 3rd car i drove(in pic) would have to be the most embarrassing thing i drove and is why i bought the firebird, big mistake to buy that thing

Cant decide. These are the only 2 cars I have bought.

I did have a Volvo 240 and Volvo 850 prior to buying the 8, but they were passed down to me from Dad.

Looking at this picture makes me smile, that is some proper motoring you're doing.

Mine was probably the 1988 Subaru XT6. I bought it used. I think it had just over 100k miles on it when I bought it. Ran great for about 3 months...

Then the bearings in the transmission went so I needed to get it rebuilt. Radiator needed replacing. Started leaking a bit of oil. Worst was that 2 of the air struts developed leaks and Subaru recommended getting all of them replaced because the other 2 were looking bad as well. Stupid things were $350 EACH. Sure I could have converted the car to conventional coilover suspension but at that point, I was done sinking the money into it. I sold it as-is with the struts unrepaired. I think I got $750 for it.

The only good thing about that car was that it ran well enough for me to learn stick on.
