What worst car have you bought ever?
A good thread nonetheless
Worst Car 2001 Cavalier LS. In the beginning it was all good, but once it passed 50 k kilometers, nothing but random problems. The radiator would start to leak, the fuel pump screwed up. It was a nightmare. Also, for awhile it was running on 3 cylinders, which happened TWICE! wtf. I did beat on it, but all the maintenance was done on time.
Oh well.

The thread wasn't, but wanted to let people use this as an example for future reference. They usually have ads in their sig or will make a few posts that seem real and then post the spam a little later with something like "hey, have you guys seen this site?". Since they have a couple of posts people assume it's a member trying to inform others but it's really just spam.
The thread is a good topic actually.

Probably suffered from 1st model year syndrome. The Z has been improving steadily over the years.
Learned that the hard way with my '04 8. I will never buy a 1st model year car again.
My worst car so far was the one I had before I got my 2009 R3. (15K and only just the MIAC/Static problem fixed under warranty)
It was a 2000 Jetta GLX. It had the relatively interesting VR6 engine. Bought it as a lease return in 2004 with 40K on it. It would always have random problems, from broken engine mounts, to climate control dying, to water pump after water pump, to odd noises from the suspension. It was in the shop allot!
Nice car (when it wasn't getting fixed) but handled waaaaay front heavy.

97 Chevy Cavalier .... just bought it yesterday not only does it always have the right blinker on, coolant mysteriously disappears and the tach shakes ... Finally it is AUTO
i didn't own it but my gf's old car, a camry.............................OMFG that car sucked. no major issues, just felt like it had no steering, no brakes, and at any given turn the wheels would follow the road and the entire cabin would lift off and just keep going straight.
2006 Civic LX. Those cars are a piece of **** transmission-wise, and interior build wise.
I loved the way the car handled & looked for a cheap *** car though.

1988 Pontiac Firefly. 3 cylinder with a 3 speed automatic.
The "previous owner" was the engineering graduate class at my university, who had brought it into the building on its roof as a prank. I bought it for $75.

I didn't exactly buy it but my first car was a hand-me-down 1990 Buick Reatta. What a POS that thing was, trying to be a 2 seater sports car but only available with a wussy NA 3800 with a slushbox and FWD?
The digital dashboard stopped working at one point so not only could I not see how fast I was going but I couldn't see how much gas I had either. Transmission would pop out of drive while moving, roof liner fell completely down except around the edges, popup headlight motor broke, several part failures, all in a heavy *** car that handled for **** and was slower than a 2nd gen Eclipse GS... ugh
Sold it as fast as possible to buy an '89 240sx hatchback that I eventually swapped a CA18DET into

'92 Toyota Celica ST
I'm trying to remember what year I brought it but I think it was '97 or '98...it lasted about 7 months and one day I heard a knocking in the engine and came to find out that the engine was going...got a second opinion which confirmed it. Don't know if the previous owner beat the hell out of it but I hated it and pretty much never really thought that highly of Toyota after owning that car.

I hated the car with a passion, but there was a [slight] moment of me thinking about picking another one up. (Si version though...) Both the LX and Si models have equally shitty gearboxes (albeit the Si box feels great when it works) and horrible interior quality...but they are fun cars.
