They were probably already contracted to supply the cars... that vette does look pretty catchy though.

 

dont think thats a corvette i've seen the gmc commercial i think well it had a different name it had like some 3 letters

IIRC, that's what the original drawings were of the C7 concept, but I didn't think that it would be that close to concept.
