Talking Got my Binaltech RX-8 Transformer today

i must say, it's quite difficult to transform...maybe i'm just getting old but i used to be able to transform the old first gen Transformers in a matter of seconds, this one took me 15 minutes to figure out w/o the instructions!

anyways, attention to detail is utterly amazing, the interior is very intricate, the transformation design itself seems like it took years to engineer, and the fit and finish is top quality...my only gripe is the it wasn't mostly made in die-cast...in fact, most of the pieces are plastic...it's still quite heavy, however, and seems very durable

LOL, I had the same impression ... I used to be able to transform these quickly when I was a kid. It took me about 15 mins to turn the car into the robot. I have mine for sale in the rx8 parts forum (hope you don't mind the ad)

whats also cool is if you turn one of the front wheels, the other one turns as well. they put a lot of detail into this car. It's more than just a mass produced unit with no thought.

why are you selling it? it's a great little toy for adults, for the kids i'd suggest the Hasbro model once that one comes out...this one is more of a collector's item

XDEEDUBBX - i doubt they'll be selling the die-cast Binaltech version here, you'll probably have to buy that online...i'm not sure when the Hasbro version will come out

stownz - nope, it came like that...the big one i bought online, the little one i got free from Mazda as a gift

The hasbro version is already out, but seems to be very limited. I picked mine up at my local Target for $20. One thing to note is that the hasbro version has the e-brake on backwards for some reason. I wanted to remove it and stick it back in with super glue, but was afraid to damage it. Anyone else who picked up the Hasbro version have this same problem?

Ohhh??? You Americans keep getting the Alternators before we do. I'll be happy if I see it by X-mas!

Soundave, the e-brake is on the left side? I guess I never saw any interior pics of the Hasbro version. Ehhh .... I wouldn't try modding it unless you're really into kitbashing and know how. I've done some kitbashing but I don't think I'd want to tackle anything as delicate as the ebrake (not to mention the potential to mess up the rest of the interior).
