the vette wins on the slalom and the skip pad..
better handling? I dont know to be honest. Better gas mileage? no.. unless you are one of those people that get 13 mpg no matter what :/.
The vette is faster, thats for sure, and probably would handle ok in snow with winter tires like the 8. Just don't bash on it because you believe that your car is superior; they are both great cars.. likewise with people bashing on the 8.

Are we going to conduct another witch hunt?
The guy got pissed the same way we get pissed when someone starts a mud-fest with the 8.
04ls1vette, you probably made things a bit too general. And we didn't help too much.
Just to settle the score, and get my point of view through: there are very few GM, Ford, Chrysler products I would even consider. One of them, and my all time favorite: Viper (way out of my price-tag limit, but hopefully my retirement self-gift some day.)
04ls1vette, don't take things so personal.

By the way the vette's interior looks llike sh*t compared to the 8.
*EDIT*- i second that the viper is one of the only current US cars I would even think of getting, not thinking of money at the moment.

The Vette handles great in the rain...actually not great but ok. It does the job. Handles t-storms everything like that. What i'm talking about is snow which in texas does not happen (Damn You on that). The 8 doesn't handle it at all. The 8 has a back seat and that is about it in practicality over the vette.
