Not in a financial position? Much better off than I know of considering the cars you have owned and own now. Nice stable.
I must be lucky though. (Knocks on tiger maple desktop). 37K miles and not a single issue with my 2004 RX8.

If everything goes alright, I'll be the owner of an FD RX-7 and a STI pretty soon here.
Instead of going S2000+cheap winter beater, FD+STI sounds even better.
So I may be back into the rotary fold here soon.
We shall see.

Love the STi. Good luck with it. Never owned an sti but had a modded wrx for a while. I think the problem with that car is the 4 cylinder. The car is a bat out of hell down low but as soon as you get up top above 80 miles an hour it gets sluggish and doesn't have much more....

If you thought the 8 had problems, good luck with the 7. Even the ones with rebuilt engines = hard work. Although I like the sound of having an FD and a STi in the garage haha Both cars are sex on wheels.
