if you want an idea of what an sti wagon is like go to your subaru dealer and see the wrx wagon, the sti just has all of the STi accomodations and performance benefits like the sti sedan has over the wrx. its a great looking wagon, the evo wagon on the other hand looks like ***, like ike said it looks like a volvo

That's actually pretty crazy. You'd think they would use beefier handle bars for that....whatever the hell that is.

is it a chop?

What’s that an STI Forrester? I would think the center of gravity would be too high to allow good cornering. I know they are lower than an SUV/CUV but still higher than a sedan.

Right now I can't justify an elise, both for price, and availability. no lotus dealers within a state of me.
I don't know how much you've researched an elise, but I lurked on the elisetalk board for about 6 months before getting an rx8. Even though there is a lotus dealer 30 minutes from my house I didn't think I was ready to deal with all the querks the elise seems to have. Compared to the elise the rx8 issues seem ordinary.

Yeah, but if you had gotten an Elise you probably could hung out with RX8_ML (she has an Elise). And isn't that why we're all here anyways?

Funny, I was thinking that something was wrong when kids that can't even drive pretended to know more about cars than you do.

Just came back from an 04 STi test drive from a private seller. This is the first time I've ever driven one. It's funny because the guy who was selling it didn't know what the hell was in the car since he bought it from someone else. I gotta tell ya, This STi must've been stolen or been in an accident because the asking price was dirt cheap, 18k for 22000 miles... I was very tempted and this was a very good price if you wanted a badass beater. It did feel a bit broken and it didn't help that the check engine light was on either, but this thing was modded up the ***. I mean this old guy who was trying to get rid of it hadn't a clue that it probably had all of the bolt on's, an ecu tune, BOV, tons of guages, etc. This thing felt ballsy but a bit broken. I got back in my 8 and it was like going from an civic to an audi. I would still get an 04 if it was in better shape though.

it was a salvaged vehicle, probably stolen or been in an accident. It just felt like the car was going to fall apart if it was any louder... It was repainted to a red color and without the STi badge it looks like your regular 04 wrx. It's definitely an STi though (under the dood, dccd, 6-speed, etc.) I've sat in an 06 STi and it was a lot better so, that 04 i saw last night was pretty beaten.
