Hi,

I am making this thread because i am deciding whether i shouldl buy a supercharger or turbo charger


My reasoning is. Turbo charger only kicks in after a few rpm but supercharger you get all the power all the time

But can anyone tell me PROS and CONS of either. LIke gas sufficiency or Speeds at lower and top ends or engine problems i mean w.e cuz i reallyd ont have any idea.

there's plenty of information for both, seriously.. if you're willing to drop at the minimum a couple thousand on some parts that will drastically change your car, i would think you would want to research it on your own.

 

please research on your own with the various kits out there...only you can know what kit suits YOUR needs

When you press the 'turbo' button , you know you are in for a wild ride . Nobody ever has a 'super' button to push - it just sounds lame .

I'll help you out a little... the statement I put in bold is wrong. There's a thread in one of the sections that has a dyno showing that there's a turbo out there that delivers power earlier than a supercharger. I've given you the information on how to find this yourself. Good luck on your journey through rx8club.com

maybe its someone whom likes opening a can o' worms, this subject is so touchy here anyway, if all the right players get involved you wont have to worry about deleting it because it will probably get shut down anyway....

 

its not really a touchy subject*, its just that complete noobs ask:

"hai guyz, witch is more batter? turb0 or supra?"

...

the pros and cons are quite extensive and it would take a while to list them. if we had this discussion each time a new person registered on the forums we'd all be quite insane.

more to the point, i'd bet $50 the OP does not have the money to go FI in any regard.
