You guys really SHOULD take it to PMs, this public display isn't needed and will just get another STI thread close. Which means eventually there will be another one and we'll have to go through the nonsense all over again...

Thank you guys. Yes, I am enjoying the car a lot.
Ike do you know " Shiv Vishnu" from the Evo forum??? and the vishnu xede? Flashloader?
Well, he is making one for the 996tt. It will be a flashloader like the Giac with maps for 91, 93 and 100 octane. The neat thing is that it gets connected to the OBD2 reader and in secs the fuel map is changed- The car gains around 70HP to the crank. There will be two flashloaders available for the TT(the Giac and Vishnu). Too bad they can do it for the RX8.

Yep, I knew Shiv was working on some stuff for the 996. While some people in the Evo community don't like him he's always been very good to the Subaru community and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him. The unit he's working on will probably be similar to the Cobb Accessport.

Yes, There is a bunch of really good tuners for the 996TT. Vishnu is one of the latest entrants.
They used to work directly with the Ecu (Fuel maps) and now everyone is moving to the flashloader system. Actually there are few: Giac,Revo Technik, Vishnu and a some others that will work directly with the ecu, like Upsolute,Fvd,Ruf ,Psi orton, etc. I just find that the flashloader system is so convenient. When you need to service the car , just connect the little flashloader and upload the stock maps !!! Its awesome..
