I have an 04 rx8 automatic. Recently, when I push down the accelerator, simultaneously this squeaking noise is happening. I don't know what it is but it is annoying the hell out of me. It's coming from under the hood.. I was thinking it could be a pulley or maybe the AC belt..I don't know.

If anyone has had a similar problem or an idea of what this might be, please, please let me know so I can fix this!

 

Only thing I can think of is a belt. If you've not changed any of them yet, might as well do it. Better safe than sorry!!

 

Sounds like the hamster wheel needs greased.
