I like all kinds of racing, of which F1 is my favorite. To me a lot of the NASCAR stuff is boring, except for the big tracks. Deep down, I wish they would remove those restrictor plates to see what those cars can really do!

On another note....Thank God for google video for my Top Gear needs.

Come on, all we want is a little better balance in coverage. The bias is sickening. What they should do is create a NASCAR channel that shows strickly NASCAR only programming and free up Speedchannel.

I suspect most "hardcore" NASCAR people (I'm sure there are exceptions) couldn't give a flying _____ what is happening in WRC, F1, ALMS, Grand-am, Rolex Series, Indycar, JGTC...etc. etc. The high horse probably has to do people just being up to their freakin' eyeballs-force fed NASCAR all the time.

No hard feelings...I respect NASCAR, I'm just pissed because I want to watch something else.

No offense to anyone, but while NASCAR isn't my cup of tea, to each his own. Someone correct me if I'm wrong; and I think that article from 2001 supports this, isn't SPEED owned by FOX and NASCAR? I say another channel IS the answer not a petiton for SPEED to change.

 

Yea, I also heard SPEED is owned by Nascar. I think it's plain common sense for them to weed out anything that is NOT Nascar related. There is a market for another motorsports channel. We just don't have the funds to start up one, that's all. If you guys hear of one starting up, let me know. I'm ditching my SPEED subscription.

 

speed is owned by Fox - Fox which broadcasts NASCAR and Bill O'Reilly.
dont' expect anything but pandering to the lowest common denominator there.

We already have the NASCAR channel. Every station that carries american auto racing on Sundays is the NASCAR channel. That's all you see. If you get lucky you'll also find NHRA. I just try to sleep through those days. It's more exciting.
