Hmmmm,,,I want a 1976 Mazda RX-5 (Cosmo)
This beauty had a 13-B 130hp , 4 wheel disc brakes.
Power windows and wood dash.
And could corner. It was Mazdas top touring car in the day.
What did you expect from 1976?
Or I would love to have a 1974 Mazda RX-4,it is a tough decision as to which one I would pick ,given the choice of the 2.
I have owned both and love them both.

OK, flame me... just my opinion
First of all, the TWIN turbo on the FD (dual and twin are 2 completely different systems, if you want to spread your opinion, try to at least state facts, and maybe make your opinion *correct*, mmk?) was a PEICE OF ****. The turbos last about 1/2 as long as the engine, and lacking the current(1992)-age technology of ball-bearing, were a complete waste of time.

And lets see. The cooling system on the FD couldn't even handle the car when stock. How is this a good thing? I'd say the FD isn't really worth a crap. But, "with a few mods"...it can be a very good car.

Thats odd! I've never heard of the SA/FB and FC cooling systems not being adequate when the car is stock! Gosh! Imagine that. Reliable and FD.....the true oxymoron.

Try convincing the FD owners over at the rx7club of this...
I'm not trying to "spread" anything. Like everyone else here I am only sharing my thoughts.
If you choose to disagree with "my opnion"... thats fine, I don't really care.

Dual Turbo...? Twin Turbo...? You know what I mean.

As for facts... it's "piece" of ****... not "PEICE" OF ****...

Peace

Hey AdRoCK3217,
I just read some of your posts over at RX7club. I've come to the conclusion
that you're a smart-*** know-it-all who doesn't pass on a chance to spread your
wealth of self-proclaimed knowledge. I'm not impressed.

Sorry for the Jack, I'm done now.

Even the replica's are pricey at $40 to $50 K. I could even fathom the price of a
real 427 Cobra... Out of my league!

I always thought the Renault R4 Turbo was pretty cool. Mechanically, junk; but pretty cool.

And in its day...The GLH Turbo (Dodge Omni) was pretty quick.

'69 Yenko Camaro.
427-cubic inch iron-block, cam-in-block, overhead valve V8 making 425 hp despite relying on a giant fuel-leak called a "four-barrel carburetor" for induction

I've posted this before in the muscle car thread but this is my favorite classic.

I am not the voice of experience when it comes to the FD/FC series...
My 93 Black on Black MT RX7 was the 1st year of it's model.
If a design flaw was going to show up, it would have done so with mine.
I drove it hard for 70K miles with NO major issues.
It's still running around town with it's 4th owner... and still stock.
The only problems I ever had with it was when I broke something.

I have never owned an FD or an FC...
I've never owned a Corvair, a Pinto or a Datsun...
I don't eat beets...
Why?
I don't like them!
Yet you persist in trying to change my mind... It ain't going to happen.
I know what I like and what I don't like...
You're a fan of the FD/FC's, that's your choice. Good for you.

It's time to move forward and stop Jacking this thread.
If you want to continue this argument, I suggest you start your own thread
about how your FD's/FC's are best...

Bye-Bye

Mind telling me where I spread misinformation? It's all correct to my knowledge. Rather then posting this comment, and then coming back with a childish remark as "do you own a civic?", why not prove me wrong, hmm?

Let's see.

Twin and dual are 2 completely different things. Twin are 2 things working together, while dual are seperate..and yes, the "average" FD's turbo's tend to last about 1/2 as long as the engine, needing to be rebuilt..this is not "fact", but merely what I've seen and been told by many an FD owner...

Yes, the coolant system is really bad, and the FD has been known to overheat even when stock, under spirited driving conditions.

And no, I've never heard of an SA/FB or FC cooling system being inadequate when the car is stock. I don't see any misinformation?

Come on guys! (AdRoCK3217 & SayNoToPistons)
Start your own thread concerning your opinions...
Have you considered taking your arguments back to the appropriate club?
They seem to appreciate / tolerate your knowledge over there.
Not many here will miss you.

12 years ownig fd's ( and almost all rotary cars in my life time), if you dont mess with the boost you dont fry the turbos as simple as that my current fd has 6 years at 14 psi and im supouse to belive there crap? Cooling? in my country its always in the upper 90's againg if you up the boost then you have cooling problems, it is a demanding car you got to take care of it, most cars that blow are not very well taken care of.

sorry about the civic coment, but if you say a car is not worth a crap what dit you spect?
