ball park price is 500 - 700 plus the cost of teardown and rebuild and that price is pretty high.

there have been a few people try different things - CRH has probably done the most extensive work and testing . Others have tried various things but no concrete details about any gains ever seem to surface ....

It's not worth the hassle unless you're already rebuilding your engine.

The cost of porting is anywhere from $300 to $800. But as mentioned it will also entail an engine removal and replacement and rebuild. Which could run anywhere from $3000 to $5000 depending on what you do/replace and where it's done. It would be cheaper to do a nitrous kit or a used turbo system. And you would obtain more gain from that.
I ported Phils8's 2004 AT for BHR and Charles R. Hill has a port job done by Rotarygod.

There is not a lot of room for port enlargement due to the design of the irons.

Not worth the cost unless your going FI. Minimum gains I looked into this at a local shop that only works on Rotaries.

Its always been hard to make a LOT of power being n/a. Most guys go the nitrous route..
I don't know if that means that they can do the porting without rebuilding or that is cost of the porting and rebuild will be on top of that.

That is just the porting.
The extraction, rebuild and installation are ALWAYS extra.

ggavgg, if you are serious about porting and what is involved then you should talk to Nemesis8. He is currently in the breaking in phase of his ported motor build. He lives in WA too
