Rx-8 VS Honda S2000
Ok, I don't know how no one came up with this yet, but here we go
I think this would be a close one, so.....apart from the obvious more practicality of the rx-8(4 seats, and a decent trunk) there is not much difference between the car
The 8 got more handling, but the s2k got more power under it's hood,
the s2k is also a convertible,
so what do you guys think, close one?

imo
Sports Car: sk2>rx8
Practical Car: rx8>s2k
Its all in what you need. Some days I yearn for an s2k while others I worship the rx8's looks and rotary attributes; I think the in end of the day a big issue whether or not you need the 4 seats/doors. Well that and the rotary smootheness :D

The S2000 does have great steering response, but not as much steering feel, so along with a somewhat twitchy setup it can be hard to drive with confidence at the limit. Also, the VTEC switchover is artificially exagerated to make it feel faster and more exciting. Of course in the hands of a great driver those things are an absolute weapon.
Cutting the top off of a car is the perfect way to make me never want to buy it though. Can't stand convertibles. If it were a hardtop, though, it would be just about what I would want in a sports car. Small, light, NA, RWD.
As a track and AutoX guy though, I can't say enough how valuable that steering feel, communication, and easy at-the-limit behavior is. Makes driving hard a joy instead of a somewhat frightening experience...

The S2000 is probably the only piston car I'd own. I love it. I def. wanna sport one later and do some heavy na tuning. Plus the tach is freaking sexy. Reminds me of the old Top Gear game for Super Nintendo . But I'd def. buy the cf hardtop no doubt.

I've driven a few S2000's, and they are cool little cars. Something about its stying I really dont like though, they always have seemed feminine like Miatas to me. I think the MX-5 is a better comparison to the S2000. I've been seeing one S2000 around my area that is really modified that is awesome, but in stock form definately not for me.

My friend has an S2000 and from a dig he gets me by a length or two but on the highway I edge him out by about a length at 100MPH. He has an AEM Intake and 19's though so I think if he was stock we would be neck and neck. We also have switched cars and usually the results are the same. But it is definately a drivers race on the course or on the drag strip. They are nice but I would only have a hard top. IMO though, something is just kind of gay about verts.
