Im watching the race right now. I think theres 3 Mazda6 in GX class and they are running 5 seconds slower than the fastest GX car. I think theres only 6 or 7 cars total in GX. No way the Mazda6 are going to win their class unless the other cars run into some problems.
BTW, theres 1 RX8 in GT class #78

 

Yeah, they have no real chance. They Caymans could have problems, but a new car with existing tech is quite a bit better than new cars with entirely new tech.

 

The Mazda6 #00 just stopped running. Its stalled in the track. Not looking good guys.

Well, I wouldn't say the full season is. They learn stuff and improve, even if they are overall still just slower, GA could easily make competition adjustments.


Watching them on the banks , it seems like their speed issue is largely their top end. They are getting pretty much blitzed, loosing steam while the other cars are still pulling.

 

When did you see that? They havent shown any coverage of the GX. All DP and a little bit of GT

On average yeah. I haven't seen trap speeds yet.

That cut to commercial was on a 6, and you could see the lone 8 just driving by without difficulty.

Well according to Doonan, @ 3> hours all three suffered the same condition with a Fuel Line issue and a 25 cent nut, I guess vibrating off..and how engine are only at 80-85% capacity..

@ <6 Hours they were all out!

Perhaps they run out of 'nuts'.....OH well, it is still all new.
