As noted in the Mazda6 thread, Speedsource isn't actually using the 6. Unlike their RX-8s which were still factory dimensions with the look-a-like skin, the 6s are actually scaled down because the factory dimensions are actually too big to race with.

Live Timing is up for for the Roar practice ATM. Only one GX car, Cayman, on the track.

To me, that normal sized door looks rather large next to it. Doesn't look big to me.

Rolex 24 line up:

Mazda Motorsports announces Rolex 24 lineups - Racer.com

Second day in a row that Jalopnik featured something on the Mazda6. Yesterday they raved about the new 6 and how desirable it is. Today, we get some Diesel Grand Am GX awesomeness:

Quite amusing seeing this behemoth in these pics. I can only imagine how awesome it will be watching it tear up road courses against much smaller cars in its class.

Behemoth?

That guy leaning on the rear wing isn't 7ft tall...

Back in Black...... hope it stays that way. Never bought into that white livery they had in last years 24hr. Neither did they. Rest of the season #70 was black. Well at least we know how Patrick D. is keeping himself busy...Actor Patrick Dempsey

It is a rather large car (for its class) packing a decent amount of punch. Direct relevance to the meaning of "behemoth."

Enjoy.

I keep seeing people speak about it's huge size. What are the race car dimensions again? It does not look any bigger to my eyes than the RX-8 race car.

Why do some media outlets have to continuously refer to diesels as 'oil burners'? I feel like that type of talk keeps people viewing them as bad for our environment which is so foolish.

Rant over

Paul
