This is sad, one less sports car (or sport econo-box) option is never good. I considered the EVO X when I was shopping for my RX-8, but couldn't find one to test drive. Kinda wish I had now...Oh what am I saying theres no way I woulda bought that over my 8!

While the Evo's were quick, sporty cars for the price, at the end of the day they always felt like cheap econoboxes with turbos. I have never been in one that didn't feel like a Civic in terms of luxury. Everytime I see one, it is always being driven wildly by some punk kid. No one drives them like a normal car. I do think they had great performance potential and no doubt were fun to drive. While I have never thought them to be a pinacle of performance by any means, I'll still be sad to see them go.

Yeah I saw this as well, there was reports on their facebook saying that it is also not the end of the EVO.

So many mixed sources from many different reliable sources saying everything you can think of.

^ Figured. They sell too many to just end production. There's so many EVO's here in Miami.

Sad Sad future in motoring.

I'll be the guy in the future-when everyone else is driving around in sophisticated, self-driven, non-polluting, hover mobiles-still tearing up the neighborhood in my 2004 26B Twin Turbo RX-8.

But on the other hand...maybe I'll be the 'tuner' for the electro-econoboxes of the future.

I decided to pull into my local Mitsu dealer yesterday (was getting bored, lol), and I spotted a loaded '11 Evo MR for a whopping $45k! With that kind of price, it makes the car questionable. I realize that there are also GSR models which are much closer to the $30k mark, but it's still very odd to see many of the new models creep up to $40k & beyond.

It's just my opinion, but I felt the last generation Evo really defined what the Evo's greatness was about. I've always wondered how the sales were for the Evo X, compared to the VIII/IX's...

No more Evo?! I like the Evo look but the price is too high for the younger enthusiasts. You need to be a doctor or a lawyer to afford the evo. Sad but true...
