Maybe.
I mean, I love my E90 330i. It's a 6-speed sport model (tighter suspension, power side bolster seats, big wheels/tires), but I'm just kind of not into driving it like the RX-8.
I used to look forward to driving the 8. It didn't have the grunt or the refinement of my 3 series, but it didn't matter. The seating position, the communicative steering, smooth hum of the rotary, the short shifting... it was so very zen.
I sold my 8 when gas here in San Diego was about $5/gallon. With the 8's crap mpg, I was spending over $450/month just in gas. My 330i gets about 24 mpg.
Anyway, I'm thinking of buying another 8. Probably a 2006 or 2007. If you have an 8, keep it! There's really nothing like it.

That is EXACTLY what I am doing!!!!! And that's the explanation I give too!! I tell my friends who bash my 8s 0-60 that I'll just get on my bike and destroy them hahahaha.

I just hope gas doesn't go sky-high again.
btw, the new rx-8 interior is awful. what were they thinking? the steering wheel looks like what a previous-gen rx-8 steering wheel would look like.

Heh.. I just bought a leftover 2009 R3 because this car just gets in your head. There is nothing else like it. Screw the mileage, I have a VW diesel for that.

Ever since I drove an R3, I have been wanting one so bad. Made my Series I seem no fun, which I had to sell anyways, and now I drive a '99 Cavalier. I just hope I can find a quick $45,000 so I can have an R3 as a summer car.
