Questions about Mazda RX8

I live in the Seychelles. For those of you who don’t know where that is, it is a small tropical island found in the Indian Ocean. I want to buy the Mazda RX8 but I have a few questions before doing that. Our petrol is not as clean/pure as yours. Will that affect the engine of the car? How reliable is the engine?? How much mileage can the RX8 get??
Thank you in advance.

I am sure dirty petrol will not make the car run better, with the fuel filter in the tank this could be a frequent and expensive repair. As for the reliability of the current design motor it has only been out for two years, there isn’t enough data to tell either way. Previous non-turbo rotaries have a good reputation if well maintained. Mine has run great; I have about 80,000 Km on it. As for fuel mileage I get about 20 / mpg which converts to about 8 ½ Km / Liter. That is doing mostly freeway driving.
http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/...k/geos/se.html states that your island has only 315 Km of paved roads, is that old information? Based on that little amount of road your not going to get great fuel economy. About how much driving do you do in a week?
